For those of a certain age, it’s a bit of a “back to the future” moment – or perhaps a “there’s nothing new under the sun” moment.

Eric Clapton really is kind of morally erratic.

If you’re of that certain age, you may remember the controversy about Clapton either “being way ahead of the curve on immigration” or “being a corrosive racist”, depending on your ponit of view, in the seventies, as he approached bottoming out on booze, coke and heroin. It led to him, with a nod to Laura Ingraham, “shutting up and singing” for most of the last five decades or so.

Oh, he had his moment of grace during Covid…

…until his anti-lockdown and COVID vaccine statements and his singing on a Van Morrison-penned song, “Stand and Deliver.”  

These gestures infuriated many on the left, and in 2021, flamewars raged in guitar forums over Clapton’s statement, and of course, the Enoch Powell rant resurfaced from those who were pro-lockdown, given its being reprinted in numerous American newspaper columns about Clapton, and from those wishing to cancel him on social media. 

But it seems that Clapton, now 78, is in the “I’ll say what I want and I don’t care” phase of life:

But now Clapton has outdone himself when it comes to displaying his own antisemitism, moral bankruptcy and hypocrisy. In an interview with The Real Music Observer YouTube channel, he criticizes the Senate hearings into antisemitism on US college campuses, while stating that Israel is running the world (a clear antisemitic trope). At the same time, he fawns over Putin, Russia, and China – who he claims are all unfairly demonized – while expressing the desire to play there with his “brother” Roger Waters:

I’ve always observed the adage “love the art, ignore the artist”. It really doesn’t matter whether I agree with the artist (or can find reasons that the artist agrees with me whether they like it or not) or don’t.

And I’ll keep doing that.

The good news: these sorts of results usually bode well for elections in America, at least for the upcoming cycle.

Now, I know MPR reporters don’t generally deign to respond to the peasantry – in fact, I know MPR News management specifically tells staff not to engage with the unwashed masses. In fact, I have the receipts.

But I’m genuinely curious – did you find anything?

It’s not of idle interest to me.  Mine was one of the neighborhoods that got burned, looted and vandalized in May of 2020 (noting at the time that I saw a lot of “AmeriKKKa” and “Destroy the 1%” graffiti, but not a single swastika or “14 words” reference, I’m thinking the Twin Cities either got the most inept “white supremacists” in the history of bigotry, or they were the most ingenious – fiendishly tricking a whole city full of leftists into doing the job for them – the sort of fieldcraft that’d make a Mossad agent envious).     

While I am a very overt conservative (I went from Bob Collins’ Christmas Card list to…well, very much off of it during his unfortunate unpleasantness a few years ago), I also spent time covering radical groups of all stripes back when I was in the mainstream media.  

I ask because a not-so-cursory look through the last three years of your reporting doesn’t seem to show anything.  

And as I do every year on the anniversary of this event, I’d like to invite you on my show (Saturday, 1-3PM) to talk about your findings.   Because it’s everyone’s city.

Notice how many Democrats and media people (ptr) are gaslighting working Americans about the economy lately?

The Dow Jones and the level of GDP is nice and all, but inflation is rising faster than buying power, and is going to get worse before it gets better, if it gets better.

Among Big Left’s great crimes against history is the complete devaluation they have achieved against the term “Fascist”. To much of the parts of society that routinely use the word, it now means “anyone not on board with today’s left’s narrative”.

No, really:

And Big Left knows what it’s doing, since the other options have also been hijacked. Call someone a Nazi, and you’re overwrought. Call someone a Communist, and people start jabbering about the Red Scare.

“Authoritarian” works, but it doesn’t have quite the same emotional impact – and Big Left has been diluting that one by associating it with Trump – a demonstrably less authoritarian president than Obama or The Potato.

So given the options, what does one call a political figure or party that:

• Their ends justify their means – including the use of government force to secure compliance
• Tries to co-opt the institutions of society to further their political ends, starting with government and schools and ending with the family itself?
• Aggressively “sorts” society into “good guys” and, especially, “others” to use as scapegoats and deflections from one’s own actions – up to and including creating an official version of “reality” that may or may not have much in common with the real thing.

Let’s take a thoroughly educational look at a politician who seems to check off all the boxes for…well, the “A” word. And maybe some definitions of the “F” word.

The Real Authority

Maye Quade is a fully-fledged creation of leftist institutions – and pays obeisance to them:

But she certainly has no love lost for society’s actual institutions.

Like parenthood.

She wants to nullify parents trying to teach their children morality and ethics, so her side doesn’t have to work quite so hard to uproot them. j

This is, of course, on top of her very casual relationship with telling the truth if it’s not in her political interest.

Might Makes Right

Maye Quade may not actually have the executive power to sicc government and its monopoly in the use of force on her political (and finanncial?) enemies.

But she sure thinks about it:

“I would love to eminent domain all 98 of these crisis pregnancy centers and turn them into affordable housing for people who do have children,” said Sen. Maye Quade. “I would love to turn them into food banks and diaper banks and formula banks. Like, these are things that actually support people having children when they decide they would like to have children, and everything that crisis pregnancy centers are doing is not that. None of it is that.”

Aggressively Sorting

Maye Quade has a staffer who’s got a bit of a “virulent anti-Semite” vibe.

This is, of course, shocking in that the aide is more antisemitic than Maye Quade’s own equivocating weasel-word-larded antisemitism:

Your tax dollars are paying for this.

It should go without saying Senator Maye Quade, like all leftists, is more aggressively yet casually racist about “othering” apostates – in this case, Senator Tim Scott, a Republican and African-American:

…which is a perfect invocation of Berg’s 11th Law.

And, like every good gaslighting abusive partner, it’s all really your fault:

Hard to miss the fact that the “consequences” in her “culture” are entirely one-sided. But that’s the nature of the abusive gaslighter. But then, I did mention creating an alternate, “official” reality, didn’t I?

Our team observed the inhabitants of Terra via an extensive observation of “Advertisements” – a Terran form of content carefully calibrated to simultaneously reflect and suggest reality.

As Terrans accept this as reality, so shall this experiment.

Findings

According to statistics compiled from ten solar cycles of observation of Terran “Advertising”, we conclude the following:

Social Hierarchy: Terran social hierarchy appears to be organized, in descending order of social standing:

• Females of the species, of all ages and ethnicities. Observation of human advertisements indicates females of the species comprise the executive, management, professional, warrior and intellectual classes. They appear to be the sole capable decision makers.
• Children – again of all ages and ethnicities.
• Males of most age and ethnic classes, who apparently are considerably less capable as executives, managers, professional sand warriors than the women.
• Males of the “caucasoid” class. Analysis of “advertising” content indicates adult caucasian males are a highly specialized subspecies adapted to and adept in “home improvement” and “hardware stores” and shopping for beer, and otherwise of no value to human social structures.. A subset of this class appear to be predisposed to being masterminds of what terrans call “evil”..

Social structure: Terran families appear to fall into three categories, displayed in descending order of statistial occurrence:

• Matched pairs of males and females, from different ethnic categories. Regardless of respective ethnicity, the social dynamics observed reflect the observations above; the females are the decision makers, while the males of all ethnicities appear to be incapable of any executive function.
• Matched pairs of caucasian males and females. In these couples, again, the patterns noted above are observed; the female makes the decisions, with the males apparently unable to function in this capacity outside the aforementioned categories (“home improvement” and “beer”).
• Matched same-gender pairs, who are apparently the sole classification of coupling comprised of competent equals.

Manifestations of Society: Observations of the “advertising” content indicate that human activity is overwhelmingly focused on:

• Medicating ailments
• Preparing and Consuming food
  • An apparently constant, possibly ceremonial refabrication of their dwellings – roofs, windows, floors and waste removal facilities. This appears to take on religious significance .

Social Hierarchy: The Terran social hierarchy as observed in “advertising” content appears to be based around a triune religio-governmental structure:

• “Real Housewives” – these are apparently centralized councils of female rulers and their retinues of male drones (see observations above)
• An executive authority composed of a deified “Oprah”, with vice-deities “Beyoncé” and “Taylor Swift”

Further study is warranted.

Clever anti-genocide activist and wag “counterprotests” at the Harvard pro-Final-Solution “encampment” in perhaps the most delicious way possible; interrupting “protesters” beauty sleep, not only with the national anthem…

…but one of the most cringey renditions of it imaginable, from one of those divas that has to ornament the bejeebers and the life out of the song.

Which brings up the question: what music should be on the “Loop” that people blast at these cretins all night long?

“Love the art, ignore the artist” is an aphorism that’s served me well over the years. Uh Huh, Scarecrow and Lonesome Jubilee were three of the best albums of the 1980s, especially for another “American kid growing up in the heartland”.

As to Mellencamp’s politics getting rejected? To cite the sage, there is indeed “no free ride. Nobody said it’d be easy”. Some guys put you in your place. Some day hopefully we can look back and remember when.

Anyway – people appear to be choosing sterilization over wrangling with new abortion laws (or at least the hype about them).

The better news? It’s not unreasonable to presume these people are overwhelmingly “progressives”. Hopefully their self-inflicted demographic sunset will happen before they destroy the rest of the country.

“Woke” constituencies in Massachusetts are having a hard time sorting out intersectional value:

The Daily Mail notes that in May, the student newspaper aired accusations that Christian staff members at the school had misgendered children, engaged in conversion therapy, and had even gone so far as to hold a prayer meeting during which there were references to an “LGBTQ demon.”  

Trans vs. Christians? Seems like a no-brainer, right?

Not so fast. The Christians were also Latino!

Normally, this outcry would have been met with multiple apologies and reams of new policies designed to accommodate the aggrieved parties. But in this case, the staffers are black and Hispanic. So someone upped the ante. The parents who stated that not enough had been done to protect trans children were then accused of racism. 

Only in America. Well, only in Blue America. 

I think I just figured out how to make my fortune – running an intersectional small claims court, to adjudicate these sorts of things.

For a price, of course.

The “observance” has been on March 31 for about 15 years, now – it was going to coincide with Easter someday, one way or another.

Which, of course, doesnt’ explain why the White House gave it equal billing with the holiest day of the faith the President throws about as a prop when it suits him (or, more likely, his comms staff).

Now, if it coincided with Ramadan, or May Day? That’s a needle I look forward to seeing the “President” try to thread.

And I’m sure he will get his chance, as just about every other day is some sort of LGBTQ+ observance or another.

“Pregnancy Resource Centers” attempt – and succeed with gratifying regularity – at convincing women and couples considering abortion to carry their children to term. In many/most cases, they offer post-birth financial and emotional support.

It’s in stark contrast to Planned Parenthood, which aborts the fetuses, collects whatever money they can, and sends the patient on their way.

In other words, heretical desecration of the secular religion’s most holy sacrament, abortion.

Erin Maye Quade, DFL Senator from Apple Valley, wants only to feed more flesh into the maw of the One True Faith:

So let’s establish this: human rights don’t interfere with other rights. If something interferes with a human right, it’s not a right. An infringement, an entitlement, even a moral duty? Perhaps. But rights don’t interfere with rights.

So here’s the question: at exactly what age did your, little Timmy Walz’s, right to live supersede Darlene Walz’s “right to choose”? And why then?

At birth? You were no different at 40 weeks than you were at 36. So you weren’t a human at 36 weeks – unless you got delivered by caesarean, in which case you were? Babies delivered at 36, even 30, weeks survive routinely and without much drama to become fairly normal children.

Doesn’t seem logical.

You were no different at either of those points than you were at 26 weeks, really – and today that 26, even 24, week old baby has really good chances of surviving.

All of the options above have scientific and logical issues.

So – when did you become human?
