Shot in the Dark

Not The Judean People’s Front

“Woke” constituencies in Massachusetts are having a hard time sorting out intersectional value:

The Daily Mail notes that in May, the student newspaper aired accusations that Christian staff members at the school had misgendered children, engaged in conversion therapy, and had even gone so far as to hold a prayer meeting during which there were references to an “LGBTQ demon.”

Trans vs. Christians? Seems like a no-brainer, right?

Not so fast. The Christians were also Latino!

Normally, this outcry would have been met with multiple apologies and reams of new policies designed to accommodate the aggrieved parties. But in this case, the staffers are black and Hispanic. So someone upped the ante. The parents who stated that not enough had been done to protect trans children were then accused of racism.

Only in America. Well, only in Blue America.

I think I just figured out how to make my fortune – running an intersectional small claims court, to adjudicate these sorts of things.

For a price, of course.

OK, dumb question; what is the expected number of kids in a typical middle school of 3-400 kids who would identify as “trans”? If it’s more than 1, I have to suggest that the “power of suggestion” is more to blame than innate gender dysphoria. Just sayin’. And yes, parents ought to be working against that power of suggestion…

^ I seen charts and graphs indicating that gender dysphoria is the new cool thing among GenZ. Like some, 20%.

Huh. I thought recognized this post… whatever.

Is it safe to generalize that the racism card always trumps the gender weirdness/sexual preferences card? Or only in this case? And is there a finer granularity to gender weirdness/sexual preference such that, for example, trannies trump gay men or non-binary trumps lesbian?

In the “nature vs nurture” (genetic vs sociological) argument, this screams nurture.

I’ve been hearing recently that the majority of 15-30 year olds now identify as LGBTQ+, with the majority of those self identifying as bisexual. That sub group is further dominated by people that do NOT self report any actual same sex sexual encounters. They only self report heterosexual sexual encounters. The majority of people are Bisexual in Name Only. In other words, it’s a fad to be LGBTQ.

Thanks! Bill C – that made my day. I mean in the sense of I actually remembered something correctly.

Regarding nature vs. nurture and the trans issue, I’m reading through the Cass review of work done at Tavistock and other British transition centers, and it appears that a huge portion of “treatments” were done not on a diagnosis of actual gender dysphoria, but of self-identification. These kids weren’t old enough to have a beer or drive, but they’re getting puberty blockers and/or getting their breasts/testicles removed with no adult in the room looking out for them.

I’m going to suggest this is part of why Britain doesn’t allow private gun ownership anymore. You’d have the victims taking out NHS “doctors” and such.
