Shot in the Dark

Secession Diaries

After the 2004 election, some among our nation’s left-wing bloggers and commentators showed their maturity and stability by declaring that this nation was really two nations: the United States of Canada, and “Jesusland”.

(I’m presuming that the Canadian Liberal Party’s 2005 drubbing may have altered some of the left’s Canadophilia).

So I thought – what if it actually happened?  What if the US split into two nations – a UN-up-sucking, welfare-stating, pro-choicing, anti-gunning “Happy To Pay For A Better US of C”-ing nanny state, and a land of rock-ribbed real Americans?

Until I get my archives fixed, the results of that thought are here.  Hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.
