First We Kill The Jews
By Mitch Berg
While the carnage at the Taj Hotel was the focus of world attention during the bloodbath last Thanksgiving weekend in Mumbai, the Nariman House synogogue was apparently the main target:
A senior police official, told [Indian website] DNA on condition of anonymity, that the interrogation of Mohammed Amir Iman Ajmal (aka Kasab) revealed as much. Just before entering the city, the terrorists’ team leader, Ismail Khan, briefed them once again about their targets. “But Khan briefed Imran Babar, alias Abu Akasha, and Nasir, alias Abu Umer, intensely on what to do at Nariman House,” the officer said.
When asked during interrogation why Nariman House was specifically targetted, Ajmal reportedly told the police they wanted to sent a message to Jews across the world by attacking the ultra orthodox synagogue.
I’ve been scouring the Hindi leftymedia for demands that India “respond proportionally” by attacking a mosque and a hotel. I seem to have found nothing.

Perhaps when you “scour” you could look for a lesson on what actually transpired on December 7, 1941.
The Japanese did FAR more than simply attack Pearl Harbor – they attacked the Phillipines – and before we ever responded in any meaningful way militarily, they also attacked (and seized) –
1. Wake Island
2. Guam
3. Rabaul
By the way Mitch, the fact that Wahabi radicals hate Israel isn’t exactly news. What is at least worth understanding is that 1500 years or so of Hamurabi’s code has failed to resolve things in the Middle-East. The Christians exterminated other Christians at Constantinople, Saladin slaughtered the non-indiginous Christians at Damascus and Jeruselem, the Jews were intolerant of the line of separation selected by the British, and carved out the state they desired, the Palestinians have waged an unrelenting geurilla war – the Israelis have responded with escalating levels of oppression while their Arab neighbors feed the Palestinians guns and oppress their own people as some sort of ‘example’ of how it should be done – but hey, let’s not consider ethics, history, or even common decency in our selection of a response – let’s instead say that anything we choose to do is fine, after all “All is fair..” or so the saying goes – of course that’s not the position of international law or even laws we uphold – but heck, to heck with those too. Instead, let’s murder if we like, let’s torture if we like, because in the end, the end justifies the means, and as long as WE win, that’s all that matters – don’t worry about the long-term consequences of any actions, don’t worry about the destruction of liberty, of the rule of law, of ethics, of our integrity, our dignity, our reputation, or for that matter, of our reasonable chance to sustain democracy by sustaining the idea of civilized society and the rule of law.
No, no, instead, carpet bomb the middle-east, after all, THEY are the terrorists – and we’re the good guys, so let the eye-gouging begin!

See the guest editorial in todays St Paul paper? The lady is upset because Israel holds more Palestinian “political prisoners” then Palestinians hold Israeli “political prisoners”. I’m not sure if she is really that stupid, or what.

I know that when I read today’s headlines, I try to do so while keeping in mind the context of Hammurabi’s code. It’s the nuanced thing to do.

What’s unsurprising is that the pravda about how this was just an expression of Pakistan/Indian differences over Kashmir turns out to be just that: pravda.
And, yeah, peev — Wahabbi radicals hating Israel soooo explains Pakistani Muslims going out of their way to find American Jews in India to murder.

In other news, Hammurabi’s code is only 1,500 years old. At least in Peev’s jumbled mind, anyway.

The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor?!
Shouldn’t we drop an atom bomb on them or something?

peev
The Code of Hammurabi was created ca. 1760 BCE in ancient Babylon.
how many more years than 1500 is that? do remember there is no year 0.
and just for fun can you provide us all the complete text of the second law of Hammurabi. I ask only because I love the Irony of having you quote it to us.

Good news, Mitch! I think you’re going to get Peev’s house outta the deal. You may have to go wading, though.

Would you really want Peev’s house? It would take eight months just to get the narcissistic grouch smell out alone.

“As log as we win, that`s all that matters.” A true statement, Penguin.
