   I kinda don’t know why you let them bother you. Their only market, other than really old people like my mom who just like having a morning paper, is DemoCommies. Researching and writing articles to serve this market makes complete sense.

   Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota announces staff cuts

   Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is eliminating 27 staff positions, citing the Trump administration’s suspension of refugee admissions and stoppage of federal funds for resettlement agencies to aid new arrivals.

   “With no new arrivals [and] no funding for resettlement services, we are in the unfortunate position of reducing staffing to align with the financial situation,” the nonprofit organization informed staff in a letter sent out Friday by Alexis Oberdorfer, senior vice president of services.

   Now, on to Catholic Charities!

   Exclusive: Catholic Relief Services lays off staff, cuts programs after USAID shakeup

   Catholic Relief Services is bracing for massive cuts — as much as 50% this year — because of draconian reductions in U.S. foreign assistance ordered by the Trump administration, according to an internal email from the chief executive of the international relief organization.

   CRS is the top recipient of funds from the U.S. Agency for International Development, known as USAID, which the Trump administration has targeted with a spending freeze, office closure and extensive staff cuts this week.

   Layoffs have already begun as CRS has been forced to begin shutting down programs funded by USAID, which supplies about half of the Catholic organization’s $1.5 billion budget, said CRS president and CEO Sean Callahan in a staffwide email sent Feb. 3.

   Speaking of charitable organizations, I bet the NRA and other gun rights organizations (including the Dorr brothers’ circus) have encountered absolutely zero deleterious effects from the USAID freeze.

   Regarding the mainstream media putting their fingers on the scales, the ugly reality is that nearly half the country votes DFL/Democrat in great part because that’s the kind of thing they see not only in the papers, but also on TV. So like it or not, it does matter.

   Regarding their great concern for USAID contractors, versus their relative lack of concern for the rest of us, I guess some animals are more equal than others.

   If an NGO closes or massively reduces its operations due to loss of government funding, was it *really* an NGO?

   And yes, I do hate the media enough. I view it as less laudable than my septic tank, since my septic tank actually serves a purpose.

   In case you all haven’t heard about the 60 Minutes episode on Sunday, where the dumb asses interviewed two USAID employees that lost their jobs, it was another scam by fake news. They were short term consultants that only worked for the organization for a short time. They were outed by their LinkedIn profiles.

   The media is reporting the Pope is in the hospital with pneumonia…I think he had a coronary when he found out the grift is finished.

   These two little factoids may help you in your arguments with screaming Karens.

   First, Obama created DOGE. It was called the United States Digital Service. This came as a result of one his first speeches, where he called out government fraud and waste, to the cheers of his drooling sycophants, then expanded government by adding jobs. Trump just renamed it and is actually putting it on task.

   Second, Slick Willy and Al “Climate Crisis” Gore, eliminated over 377,000 gubmint jobs, using buy outs on many of them. Lefties continue to forget when their heroes do the same thing.
