America’s Hitler Youth
By Mitch Berg
Americans overwhelmingly consider Hamas a terrorist organization, and condemn the wanton slaughter of October 7.
But among Americans under 24 years old, the split between pro-humanity and pro-Hamas is not only depresslingly closely-fought, but the pro-terror side has a slight edge.
Putting it bluntly, a thin majority of young Americans are OK with genocide. They may couch it in intersectional twaddle, they may hedge the ugly parts.
But a generation that grew up chanting “punch a Nazi” yapping about colonialism and calling their elders “fascists” around the Thanksgiving table are now supprting an actual Fascist regime that actually is killing minorities to further a thousand year old colonial movement.
Why?
The first order of business is to heap scorn on a generation that has adopted this morally bankrupt perspective and the older adults in their lives who have so maliciously led them astray. The second task at hand is for us to understand what convinced the younger generation to sacrifice their humanity upon the altar of an intellectual fad. The answer can be found, at least in part, in one odious word that has claimed the benignity of this generation and so many before them: “framework.”
On October 13, the Atlantic published a fascinating reflection by Helen Lewis on the callous indifference her compatriots on the American left have shown toward the wanton murder of Jews for being Jews. She correctly identified the origins of this phenomenon in the intellectualization of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on college campuses, which flattens the distinctions between civilian and terrorist, between West Bank and Gaza, between Hamas and Islamic Jihad and the Palestinian Authority and Fatah, and so on. But that flattening is the outcome. The instrument that pummels the complexities of the region into an unrecognizable paste is that detestable word, “framework.”
“Fitting Israel into the intersectional framework has always been difficult, because its Jewish citizens are both historically oppressed—the survivors of an attempt to wipe them out entirely—and currently in a dominant position over the Palestinians, as demonstrated by the Netanyahu government’s decision to restrict power and water supplies to Gaza,” Lewis wrote. Intersectionality is, indeed, the “framework” on display here. It started out as little more than a thought experiment, but it has since transmogrified into a way of life.
While our modern academic class is largely parasitical and counter-useful, they have perfected the art of self-serving logical gymnastics.

A work colleague was Snarking about republicans being unable to elect a speaker. I suggested a government shutdown was a good thing because it would stop us from spending money on Ukraine and Palestine. I asked “if not America first, then who?” He thinks maybe nobody.
nobody should be first. we should all be equal. Except I notice he’s not holding his kids out of the STEM school so underprivileged youth can have their spot, he’s not digging in his own pocket to fund wars around the world, he’s perfectly willing to have someone else do all the work that supports his virtue signals.

College is a weird place these days. Traditional mores are out, hooking up is de rigeur, but if you clumsily seduce someone, you can pay with your future employability for life with an incredibly low standard of proof for conviction. And apparently clumsily seducing someone is horrible, but if you kill that person because of their race or religion, you can get a large number of people to support you, at least if the victim is the wrong race or religion.
On that last bit, one might be forgiven for wondering whether one was on a college campus, or at a KKK rally.
October 24th, 2023 at 3:44 pm
“now supprting an actual Fascist regime that actually killing minorities to further a thousand year old colonial movement.”
LMAO!
Is that ackshewelly what’s ackshewelly happening, Ms. Birkenstock? How can you be sure?
“On October 13, the Atlantic published…”
Oh, the Atlantic. Well, that’s different, then.
Baaaahahahahahahahahaha!
October 24th, 2023 at 5:24 pm
If Palestinians are justified in killing non-Muslims in Israel, how much more justified are native americans (and most Mexicans and Central American illegals in the US are native americans by blood) in killing their colonizers?
October 24th, 2023 at 5:36 pm
It’s really ludicrous that no one is talking about HAMAS murdering Palestinians that try to leave Gaza.
October 24th, 2023 at 5:39 pm
MMP, all of the earlier inhabitants of North America killed the European invaders to the best of their abilities. I don’t have a bad thing to say about that. They were simply out gunned.
My own Irish ancestors were conquered by the British, stripped of their land, their language and treated like cattle, starved and shipped off as slaves. They intermittently conducted rebellions which were put down with the same savagery the Israelis are showing the Palestinians. That’s why I shed no tears for either the British, or the Israelis.
October 24th, 2023 at 5:45 pm
What’s really ludicrous, BH, is how none of the neo-con Patriots are talking about Ukraine any more. Weimerica has moved them on to new pastures to contentedly graze.
Moooooo!
Zelensky has got to be shitting bricks…his wife has gotten used to lavish European shopping sprees and his new Dacha on the Saudi coast isn’t gonna pay for itself.
October 24th, 2023 at 6:05 pm
They are still out there, Blade.
The Hawaiian Nationalists are closely allied with the Chechens and Palestinians. They aren’t beat, they have not accepted that they are beat. The only beat opponent in the ethnic nationalist game is an opponent who has been destroyed, who no longer exists as a people, not merely beaten into submission.
The idea that Americans of European descent can support justice by supporting the Palestinian’s attempt to decolonize the Middle East is ridiculous. They should just cut their own throats, save the wagon burners the trouble.
I am simply amazed at the idea that an American can cheer a palestinian arab warrior slitting the throat of an Israeli settler, while believing that as an American it would be wrong for an native american warrior to slit his throat.
October 24th, 2023 at 6:45 pm
MMP – the problem with the Mankato Indian Uprising is not that Lincoln hanged too many, but too few.
October 24th, 2023 at 7:37 pm
Maybe, Bigman. That doesn’t change my argument. If the palestinian arabs are justified in slaughtering Israeli settlers, aren’t native americans, including native americans from Mexico and Central America, justified in killing settlers like you?
It strikes me that the Hamas apologists insist that it is okay to kill civilian Israelis — even imported Filipino laborers in Israel — because they are are colonists and settlers on their land. Their very existence is a crime, even if they are infants.
Anti-colonialism and ethnic nationalism are not opposite sides of the same coin, they are the same face of the same coin.
October 24th, 2023 at 7:43 pm
The problem is complicated. One of the ugly truths about history is that Poland, a brand new nation after WWI, wanted to eject their Jewish population to Palestine — and the Polish Jews wanted to emigrate to Palestine as well. So the Polish government, in the 1920s and 1930s, assisted their Jews in military and terrorist training and put them on boats to Palestine.
October 24th, 2023 at 8:06 pm
Paul Johnson, historian and one time adviser to Margaret Thatcher, author of _Modern Times_, really did not like the US. This was because in his opinion the US, in its zeal to cripple the British Empire after WWI, had encouraged the growth of ethnic nationalism. This immediately caused caused conflicts because national borders often contained large groups of people who were not oficially part of the nation, and never could be.
Johnson believed that ethnic nationalism was so powerful that it would lead to eternal conflict, and that the political dominance of empire was necessary to contain and defuse it. Every nation would be oppressed by the Empire.
October 25th, 2023 at 2:22 am
“Their very existence is a crime, even if they are infants.”
I addressed this earlier. Would the Arabs hate Jews if instead of Palestine, the UN had cut out a chunk of Poland, or better yet Germany, to give the Jews? Maybe; probably. But would they be at war with Jews? Highly doubtful.
There’s a religious component, but the intifada is primarily a territorial fight started by the British, moved along by the Irgun and cemented into place by the UN.
No body asked the Palestinians what they thought of the Balfour Declaration
October 25th, 2023 at 6:21 am
Still not seeing a reason why it is okay for Palestinians to kill Israelis, but wrong for native Americans to kill non-native americans.
Where I live, back in 1837 the local Chippewa and Sioux signed a treaty ceding their territory to the feds. Literally the next day the first white settlers arrived.
But I’m supposed to back the Palestinians against those invading European Jews?
October 25th, 2023 at 6:38 am
You’re ignoring the minor detail that Israel is the historical and traditional home of the Jews.
The Al-Aqsa mosque is built on top of the ruins of the Jewish temple. Based on my experience, for something to be built on top, the thing it’s built on top of had to have been there first.
Returning the Jews to Israel wasn’t colonialism, it was in opposition to the colonialism of the Romans and Arabs who murdered and enslaved them, destroyed their most holy sites and exiled them from their own land.
Sounds a lot like your gripe against the British, except for that whole “destroyed their most holy sites and exiled them from their own land” part. At any rate, I’d think you’d be a bit more sympathetic.
So if the Brits had kicked you out and scattered your people to the wind, but centuries later, a worldwide organization granted you your land back and allowed you to rule over the few Brits who chose to stay, you’d be on the side of the Brits?
October 25th, 2023 at 7:45 am
Sailor, what were the borders of the “historical and traditional” Israel? The mosque was supposedly built on top of the Jewish temple in Jerusalem. Jerusalem is a few square miles in area…is that it?
The irony of this is, the Israeli’s are saying it’s not a crime for them to steal land in the occupied territories because the Palestinians never had a centralized governing body….well, neither did the Jews!
Its 100% might makes right over there, and that’s fine with me as long as I’m not providing the might in the form of my money, or blood.
Not my circus;not my monkeys.
“But I’m supposed to back the Palestinians against those invading European Jews?”
Hell no, MMP; f them. But we shouldn’t be backing the Jews in their campaign of conquest and genocide either. The US supports Israel with billions of federal fiat currency and military hardware, every year. We don’t do that for any other country.
Why do we do that? What, exactly so we get in return for that massive investment other than crazed muzzies flying planes into our buildings?
Ask the 33 dual citizens in our Congress.
October 25th, 2023 at 8:21 am
Two state solution has been offered to the Arabs (who aren’t indigenous people by the way) five times since 1947. Rejected every time. Take a look at Google Earth pics of Israel and Gaza Strip. The green areas are in Israel where they’ve improved the land from swamps to productive farms. The brown crappy areas are where “Palestinians “ have lived in squalor, dependent on welfare from the developed world. If you think the “Palestinians” deserve to get any more, then move away from the land you stole from the Indians or else ST*U.
October 25th, 2023 at 9:00 am
Pedo Pete’s regime is playing both ends against the middle in this one, giving money to both sides. This is in addition to the money they stupidly gave to Iran, that is being funneled to HAMAS, Hezbollah and other mooslim terrorist groups.
Ukraine continues, because a lot of people in congress, like Liz Cheney and the military industrial complex, are banking millions. Funny, little Lizzy has to protect the family business, which is why she turned on Trump. As soon as he declared that the US needed to stop funding endless wars, she stabbed him in the back.
October 25th, 2023 at 9:11 am
On kind of the same topic, I’ve been looking into exactly what meant by the term “proportional response.” Turns out it has a legal meaning.
“The rule of proportionality requires that the anticipated incidental loss of human life and damage to civilian objects should not be excessive in relation to the concrete and direct military advantage expected from the destruction of a military objective.”
https://lieber.westpoint.edu/proportionality-international-humanitarian-law-principle-rule/
So what does a proportionate response to a Hamas attack that kills 1400 Israelis look like? To me it looks like anything Israel has to do to get Hamas out of Gaza is proportionate, even if it means turning it into a parking lot.
October 25th, 2023 at 9:48 am
Guys, guys, you’re all wrong. Your analysis is flawed by using the wrong timeline.
The trouble in the Middle East did not begin with the Balfour Declaration, nor with the Ottoman Empire, nor with the Roman Occupation, nor with the Babylonian Captivity, and now we’re arguing over who had the better claim five centuries before Christ was born. Do you see why it’s senseless to assign blame to the present conflict?
The last person to have clear title to his land was Adam. Everyone after him has title by right of conquest. There is no moral component to it. The famous quote should actually read: “To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, hear the lamentation of their women, and sell their land for a fat profit!”
And that brings me to my most important point: not my circus, not my monkeys. Our politicians should be concentrating on solving our own problems, not everyone else’s. If not America First, then who?
October 25th, 2023 at 10:31 am
” If you think the “Palestinians” deserve to get any more, then move away from the land you stole from the Indians or else ST*U.”
Whoa doc. I paid big bucks for the land I occupy. And my ancestors were busy being starved to death in Ireland while indigenous tribes of N America were being wiped out.
Now, if you know someone who knocking down Indian houses to build townhouses and apartments on Indian reservations, we got an issue to deal with.
October 25th, 2023 at 10:35 am
Bigman, all I know for sure is we didn’t have these problems in the ME until 1948. And I don’t see why it’s our problem now.
Not our circus; not our monkeys.
Same for Ukraine, Africa and everywhere else we’re sticking our noses.
October 25th, 2023 at 11:07 am
Whoa, historical land issues are never caused by people that were wiped out. that’s why there is an indigenous peoples’ movement in Mexico, but not the Caribbean.
October 25th, 2023 at 11:21 am
Exactly my point, MMP. Gengis Khan never had these problems. Neither did the Chippewa or the Sioux who pushed the earlier inhabitants off their land. That’s why I say Lincoln didn’t hang too many, he hanged too few, leaving surviving losers to whine in perpetuity. Lesson for Israel to learn here, if they choose to, which is not up to me because “not my circus, not my monkeys.”
October 25th, 2023 at 11:54 am
Some cheating politician kicks me out of my home, and has it bulldozed so his business partner can build a condo high rise on the site.
Do I say bad things about him? Sure.
Do I sue him? Sure.
If I see him on the street do I punch him in the nose? Sure.
Do I kidnap his kids and livestream myself calling him a bastard while I cut their throats? Nope. That would be going a bit too far.
October 25th, 2023 at 1:18 pm
Do I kidnap his kids and livestream myself calling him a bastard while I cut their throats? Nope. That would be going a bit too far.
You do you. Clearly, as seen by the reactions in various hatcheries for our elites, it is not going too far. Nor amongst the Muslim immigrants in Western countries who have been welcomed in by the millions regardless of their inability – nay, refusal – to integrate into their new host countries (import Islam, become Islam) and get paid for not doing so. They seem to ecstatically agree that going too far is not.
October 25th, 2023 at 1:30 pm
… and just so’s we’re clear that I’m not taking sides.
There are numerous one-liners like “wag-the-dog” that constitute a long running joke about how Israel exploits Jewish power in the United States to limit and control Washington’s options in foreign policy as well as in many other aspects of international interaction. This has been accomplished by a cleverly executed neoconservative takeover of the foreign policy instruments of both major parties based on a series of nonexistent “threats” coupled with media control and billions of dollars in political donations that have bought the numerous politicians willing to be bought, which clearly constitutes a majority of Congress.
The Jews are just as bad, but they’re just more “civilized” about it.
October 25th, 2023 at 1:51 pm
You’re right, MMP.
None of this would have happened if we had nuked Palestinian into glass before handing it over to the Israelis.
I guess there is a lesson to be learned there.
October 25th, 2023 at 2:50 pm
Israel is supposed to have about 90 nukes, and can launch them via cruise missiles and IRBM (range ~3000 miles). The are supposed to have enough nuclear material to produce at least another 90 warheads.
So nope they aren’t going anywhere.
October 25th, 2023 at 4:16 pm
You’re right on the cusp of getting it, MMP.
Some individual US citizen cheats some other individual US citizen. Is violence the answer? No. Work within the system, go to court for redress.
Some nation cheats another nation out of their land. Is violence by citizens of the losing nation against citizens of the winning nation the answer? Yes, of course. Usually we expect this to be in the context of a declaration of war with uniformed military dropping bombs or firing cannon/rifles but casualties of war inevitably involve both military and civilians. Killing people and breaking things is messy.
And now the really important lesson: a cabal of conspirators (some US citizens and some maybe not) steals an election from every other US citizen. Is violence the answer? Yes, because there is no Constitutional provision to correct stolen elections, no other forum to redress the grievance. Violence against who – politicians, judges, police, their children – and to what degree – punching, kidnapping, torturing, killing – is violence appropriate? Don’t know, that’s up to you. We’re not in the arena of “law” anymore, we’re in the arena of “war” and guerilla wars are inherently vicious because of the asymmetrical nature of the warring forces. Think of Mexico and narco-terrorists, or Taliban in Afghanistan.
This analysis is not pleasant but it is logical and I submit that eventually, everyone will concede it is inevitable. It does not bode well for the nation after Democrats steal the 2024 election.
October 25th, 2023 at 4:46 pm
The Dept of Energy knows exactly how many nukes and nuke materials Israel has. It’s exactly equivalent to the amount that is missing from our stockpile.
October 25th, 2023 at 5:57 pm
Blade, the American stockpile of nukes was built by American Jews. Einstein, Oppenheimer, Teller . . .
I don’t understand Jews. They value things that I don’t value and vice-versa. But they can make their own atom bombs.
October 25th, 2023 at 5:57 pm
Reading statements from Patriots™️ leads one to conclude modern Conservatism©️ is just Zionism wrapped in an American flag.
Probably always was.
October 25th, 2023 at 5:59 pm
MMP, they cant make nukes from fissile materials they don’t have. And the Jews who made ours were American…supposedly.
October 25th, 2023 at 6:26 pm
Blade, one of my criticisms of Jews is that they cannot understand how important national identity is to non-Jews. They seems to think of being an American or a Brit or a Frenchman is like belonging to a golf club. You don’t like one, you join another.
It’s kind of commonplace among Christians to assume that Jews who convert to Christianity remain in important ways Jews, but I think it is also true that Jews who convert to Christianity aren’t considered to be truly Christians by Jews. They think of them as just being bad Jews. They became what they are on the 8th day after their birth.
October 26th, 2023 at 5:40 am
Well MMP, spontaneously and for no reason at all, they have been expelled from 109 countries; a couple more than once. So I guess they can be forgiven for not feeling comfortable in their host countries.
October 26th, 2023 at 5:46 am
I recommend “The Jews” by Hilaire Belloc to people who seriously want to understand the Jewish diaspora. It’s an unvarnished investigation into world Jewry, written by an admirer.
October 26th, 2023 at 6:39 am
Jews that align with DemoCommie policies, are loyal to the party. They are DemoCommies first by a wide margin, then Jews.
October 26th, 2023 at 7:32 am
Is there a difference, BH?
October 26th, 2023 at 1:45 pm
Um, Kremlin Tom, Belloc is widely regarded as anti-semitic for that work. It’s better than, say, Mein Kampf or Protocols of the Elders of Zion, but…..you’re showing who you really are with that recommendation.
October 26th, 2023 at 3:30 pm
The recommendation was for thinking human beings, Mr. Bubble. Not mindless neocon MAGA-bots.
But since you bring it up Mr. Bubble, folks should look into Belloc’s bio. Hardcore Zionist zealots and their nitwit apologists complain about Belloc, but he was an unapologetic supporter of the Jewish diaspora. “The Jews” is a sincere, pre-WWII plea to his friends to restrain themselves.
October 26th, 2023 at 3:42 pm
“ Americans overwhelmingly consider Hamas a terrorist organization, and condemn the wanton slaughter of October 7.”
Yeah well, that’s not the flex you think it is.
Americans overwhelmingly also quietly abided by the various lockdowns and mandates of a “pandemic” that has been completely proven to be a Scamdemic. The majority of Republicans also believe they’re gonna vote their way out of Weimerica.
Lol.
October 26th, 2023 at 4:33 pm
The NYT gives us a look behind the curtain to see who is pulling the levers ….
“An Annual Gathering of Jewish Republicans Takes on New Urgency”
“For years, the annual meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition has been a routine stop on the presidential primary trail, an opportunity for would-be presidents to demonstrate their foreign-policy credentials while plying donors with requisite one-liners.”
October 26th, 2023 at 4:45 pm
A routine stop for GOP Pres candidates used to be Bob Jones University in my free state of South Carolina. But (((anti-Christian))) leftists excoriated Bush II for pandering, so it’s now off limits.
October 27th, 2023 at 2:26 pm
BJU is now off limits because when W visited, they’d yet to end their ban on interracial dating. Hopefully further repentance by BJU will re-open them to visits while appalling Kremlin “Sheets” Tom.
October 27th, 2023 at 4:46 pm
Right, Mr. Bubble. BJU doesn’t abide interracial dating….as a result, their female alumni count shockingly few single welfare mothers sporting racoon eyes.
I shouldn’t hold my breath for “further repentance” if I were you, Mr. Bubble…
By means of furthering your virtue signaling, how many mulatto grandkids do you have, btw? They all living at your house, or are your neighbors paying the rent for them?
