My statement on why I’m not seeking the Star Tribune Editorial Board’s endorsement.

ummmmm… Emmer, Stauber and Ellison have nothing to do with the city. I assume this guy wouldn’t have gotten the endorsement anyway and is making a preemptive strike.

As bettyboop pointed out Mr Payne wouldn’t get the endorsement anyway so this is part of a campaign to shift the Strib to the Extreme-Left and thus provide cover for the 2024 election candidates.

So the Strib endorsed 2 Republicans in a pair of Republican congressional districts, while refusing to endorse an “alleged” domestic abuser during the height of #MeToo. Oh the humanity.
If you want to see the editorial boards partisan priors, look at their endorsements in swing districts. I expect those to skew heavily DFL. I also expect the Democrats that didn’t get the endorsement over a Republican to have a glaring skeleton in their background.

Any publication that routinely carried Steve Sack is about as conservative as Fidel Castro.

Nobody tell emery, but the house voted in a speaker. Poor boy will be disconsolate, he was hoping it would be a political hammer.
Spoiler bot boy: it never was and never will be a political issue, it will be forgotten in a week.

Not to throw shade, but I seem to remember when Mitch was arguing Springsteen was conservative. 😬

Reminiscent of his take in 2016 that Mitch McConnell not holding hearings for Antonin Scalia’s replacement was going to cost the GOP the Senate majority.
