I’ve seen the video on the Active Self Protection channel. Back story was that she was off duty cop in Brazil. Lots of inane comments on Twitter, but I’m being redundant.
As the old proverb notes, God made man and woman, but Colonel Colt made them equal.
I think living in Brazil means never having to think, “Is this really happening?” when a malefactor suddenly breaks into your space. You already know it happens all the time, and her response showed no hesitation.
If it were me, I’d have likely kept firing as long as he was moving – or at least given him a second shot when he rolled over, given his size. I think I’d also put a little more space between us before putting my bag down and going for the phone, too. I’d also probably have wet myself.
Textbook.
I wish I or anyone I care for to have her presence of mind and reaction time in such a circumstance.
