Turns out Americans can unify on one thing – gunning up.

Even in Minnesota?

Perhaps especially so.

the numbers: The National Shooting Sports Foundation tallied more than 37,600 statewide requests to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System in January — nearly double from 18,990 in January 2020.

It wasn’t just January: More than 380,000 background checks were recorded here in 2020, up 49% from the previous year.

380,000 NICS checks in 2020 is more than one for every ten eligible Minnesotans (over 21 with a clean criminal record).

Feel that #Unity

    Anyone within smelling distance of the peaceful protests burning in Minneapolis who did not at least consider buying a gun, lives dreaming of unicorns.

    I’ve heard MN lake bottoms have become carpeted with guns that have accidently gone overboard in boating accidents…..hmmmm

    News accounts earlier in the year mentioned new gun buyers included traditionally Democrat groups such as single moms and minorities.

    Now that their Democrat President and Congress are pressing to ban the guns these people just bought, while also pressing to defund the police who were supposed to be protecting them, do you think there will be any push-back when the new buyers realize they have even more reason to fear for their safety?

    Two former female colleagues of mine do, JD. Both were Democrats and victims of sexual assault. They claim that they held their noses and voted for Trump, after they followed my suggestion that they do some research into the left’s history, related to the 2nd Amendment. They are both pissed and knowing both of them like I do, I’m sure that they went off on their feckless elected communist state and federal elected morons.

    In the days of Stalin, one of the favorite techniques of his interrogators was to bend fingers until they break.
    “You sure your rifle fell into the lake, comrade?” Break finger. “Are you really, 100% certain that your rifle fell into a lake?” Break another finger.
    When they run out of fingers to break, they start on your wife and your kids.
    So I think that all this “gosh my guns were lost in a boating accident” BS is cute.
    I have two handguns, a 45 auto and a 22 target pistol.
