  1. Makes one wonder if her T-shirt is a media prop helpfully provided by CNN, you know, like those dirt-poor ragamuffins in wretched Third World slums who “spontaneously” demonstrate to protest America and just happen, purely by coincidence, to have a brand-new American flag in the closet so they can burn it on television. Brand-new, still has the creases from the packaging. What are the odds?

  2. I saw that and thought the same thing. This woman has been shuttling between media ops, but has, by her own admission, not bothered to meet with FEMA.

Mark my words. “Help us We are Dying” Is destined to supplant “Your Schools Are Burning” as the go-to SITD MSM mockery meme. There is so much juicy material here, you just know there are thousands of conservative fiskers out there tearing through her background.

  3. Cruz claim is not shared by Guaynabo’s mayor, Angel Perez:

When asked about Cruz’s “genocide” statement, Perez said, “I don’t know why she is saying that. What I can tell you is my experience. She is not participating in any meetings and we had a couple already with the governors and with representation of FEMA and of HUD, of these whole federal agencies that have given us help and she’s not participating in those meetings and some mayors from her political party have been participating, so I don’t know why she is saying that. My experience is very different.”

  4. jpa, I’m wondering if Anderson Cooper didn’t bring that T-shirt with him for Cruz to wear during the interview.

  5. Somebody with Photoshop skills could have a field day with putting a fetus on that t-shirt.

  6. A woman from the Wall Street Journal was on Dennis Prager today saying that the mayor obviously a huge spender but never did jack about hurricane preparedness. It was just brutal on FEMA and the mayor. Federal EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT Administration.

No satellite phones, no point to point radio systems, no diesel, no semi drivers, no tarps. Zip.

Each individual has to spend “x” amount on basic emergency stuff if you live in a hurricane zone. Did they? Physical cash was in short supply, too.

  7. Get the political critters out of the way, we know how to help each other. The compassion is in knowing that that the next natural disaster may hit home. We know how to stand together without being told what expectations are.

The Fed and the government makes at least 80% of the country dumber, poorer, and less productive. So then they vote Democrat or for populism.
