When a Republican makes an allegation against a Democrat

  1. Too right. I’ve been noticing this about the media since at least the Clinton administration–fact checking only goes against the GOP, by and large, and when it does go “against” the Democrats, the finger is on the scale, like when the Post or whoever declared Sarah Palin’s “death panels” comment to be a lie.

Tell it to Charlie Gard, guys. Socialized medicine always has death panels.

  2. Remember when Barney Frank’s boyfriend ran a male prostitution ring out of the apartment he shared with Franks?
If you have even heard of this scandal, you probably believe that this was done without Frank’s knowledge. It turns out that is not quite true.
Frank, one of two openly gay members of Congress, confirmed Friday that he paid Gobie for sex, hired him with personal funds as an aide and wrote letters on congressional stationery on his behalf to Virginia probation officials, but Frank said he fired Gobie when he learned that clients were visiting the apartment.

  3. It is the complete lack of evidence that is proof of wrongdoing, IF it is a Republican. A surfeit of evidence against a Democrat is just a “personal attack.”

  4. Socialized medicine always has death panels.

True, bb, but they always give them euphemistic names to try to detract from their nature. Let’s call them “Health Care Cost Mitigation Boards”!

  5. Mitch, taking his cue from Emery, is cutting and pasting directly from MPR News.

    Shame on you.

  6. Mamm, the big news will come when the next resident tears out the walls of Frank’s apartment….
