Goalposts

1`Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:

Republicans in Congress told me they couldn’t accomplish anything because they didn’t control the House.   So we got them the House.

They told me they couldn’t accomplish anything because they didn’t control the Senate.  We got them the Senate.

They told me they couldn’t accomplish anything because they didn’t control the White House.  We got them the White House.

Now they can’t accomplish anything because they don’t like the guy in the White House.  They won’t work with him.  And he hasn’t given them proposed legislation to consider.  He’s not their leader and even if he were, they wouldn’t follow him.  He’s a poop.

Pretty much, Republicans in Congress can’t accomplish anything.  So what good are they?

I’m thinking primary challenges.

Bigly.

At all levels.

  1. Perfect, the FBI is investigating whether Trump did those things he said he did. So much for the not being under investigation nonsense.

    It’s Mueller time.

  2. ^^^^ Threadjack! Meanwhile, back to Doakes:

Great idea. Who are your candidates?

  3. Makes one wonder if republicans have a mandate and if Trump should be considered a lame duck.

  4. Is Emery Incognito only good for obvious threadjacks? Seems so.

We should be looking for good replacement candidates.

    We should start now.

  5. So wonderful that Mueller knows there’s no crime to investigate, so he’s going to investigate obstruction of investigation of what’s not a crime. And to let the world know he’s doing this, he’s going to allow his staff to commit additional real crimes by leaking the news.

On the bright side, we know from 1998 that Democrats do not consider things like obstruction of justice to be grounds for impeachment, right?

  6. Mueller has not disclosed the targets of his investigation. He honors the requirement of secrecy that protects the privacy rights of those under investigation. That is the difference between a professional and a self-promoter. Mueller has always gone by the book.

  7. What squishy Republicans will never understand is moderation. They try to moderate, but it never accomplishes the desired democrat objective – which is, simply put, that anyone with an ‘R’ by their name ought to do humanity a favor and dig a very deep hole, club themselves with a brick until near unconsciousness and then, with their last bit of energy shovel dirt on top of their prostrate bodies.

  8. Makes one wonder if republicans have a mandate and if Trump should be considered a lame duck.

If the leftists/media/academia keeps on escalating the way they have been for the last year and a half, Trump will be considered a lame duck in 2023. I’ll go out on a limb and say he’ll take both the electoral count AND popular vote next time around,

Bullshit. Mueller’s office is leaking like a sieve, which tells us VERY clearly that he’s established a climate where people feel free to commit crimes for their particular point of view. Judging by the people he’s hired, the the leaks they’re making, it’s a Democratic intifada.
