Its a safe bet that Obama doesn’t invite Ms Thrasher to the WH for pictures with the President. That bastion of 2nd wave feminism Hillary congratulates the American Girl for wearing a hijab but ignores Ginny Thrasher’s real achievement. As peevish is fond of saying, “it speaks volumes”!

The Olympic Committee needs to remove shooting from its contest. People worldwide understand that guns are the causative agent of the disease of gun violence and that we need to stop sensationalizing guns. Guns are to be banned and controlled for the American Civilian. Perhaps shooting should be something at a police competition but not the Olympics. Shooting is not a sport just like laying in wait in a tree stand and killing a deer is not a sport. A sport requires physical activity and breaking a sweat.

You are right about that. Even though NASCAR allows power steering, Indy cars and other classes do not. Mental fatigue is also high.

Sure, let’s get rid of shooting. And archery, javelin, hammer throw, biathlon, boxing, wrestling, judo. In fact, just have one sport, ultimate frisbee, favorite of NPR Carleton College types.
