Notice that some of his fellow teacher’s union goons were trying to get him a lighter sentence!
If this were Catholic Priests or Southern Baptist Ministers NPR and especially MPR would be all over this. It would lead the newscast for a week. But as bosshoss correctly points out these are “union” offenders and neither NPR or MPR is willing to report on their own fellow communists in anything other than the most cursory manner.
