  1. Not that anyone was inconvienenced…the Crip\Blood line hasn’t opened and even if it had, the cross river gang-banging season hasn’t even started yet, hell, even the unionthugs driving those empty cars still got paid.

  2. Swiftee, is it Crips and Bloods, or are we importing more of the Gangster Disciples, Latin Kings, and such from Onion City?

Leave it to government types to fail to realize that ice might foul the power lines for the Death Train. Oddly, it was government types (NASA and DOD) that invented the FMEAs that should have been done before a single rail was laid down.

  3. Well, for comparison. A truck jackknifed on I-94 near Albany Minnesota this morning, closing the highway. But we don’t say that interstate freeways should not have been built.

  4. Chuck, Conservatives always have conceded the power of the Crown to take private property for public uses such as roads and trains, and even to pay for them with coerced taxes. But having a power, and knowing when and where to exercise that power, those are different things.

I-94 as conceived and executed near Albany is a fine use of government power and taxpayer monies so no, Conservatives don’t complain about it. Light Rail as conceived and executed on the Hiawatha Line (and the soon-to-be-closed-for-icing Green Weenie Line), is a ridiculous use of government power and a waste of taxpayer monies so yes, we complain about it.

    All clear now?

  5. Chuck; yes, and clearing it was a matter of a tow truck, maybe a bit more. On the flip side, count me out of knocking the ice off those 750V lines on the Hiawatha.

Put differently, the problem on 94 doesn’t incapacitate things until the weather gets better, or risk incapacitating the streets if a train gets stuck.
