The Donnybrook in Brooklyn Park

Save May 7 on your calendars for the Patriot’s debate between Michael Medved and Ed Schultz.
This is going to be yuuuuuuge.
I’ll take bets a little closer to the event.

“I’ll take bets a little closer to the event.”
When the outcome is known before the fight begins, it ain’t gambling.
After Schultz throws a few “warmongers” this may be the shortest fight featuring a guy named Mike since Tyson KO’d Peter McNeeley.

Michael Medved has one of the most phenomenal memories I have ever witnessed. Ed has his work cut out for him.

To paraphrase Bruce Willis in Pulp Fiction:
“Ed’s dead baby, Ed’s dead”

OHhhhhhh, wait until Schultz goes off on some fictionalized rant and Medved responds with: “Oh really. Well, you sir are an idiot.”
Medved’s trademark on his show is that he has callers who disagree with him call in. Whenever I tune into Air America (sudder) I hear zero diversity of thought. I just don’t think those on the left are used to be challenged.
Kermit, yes. Medved if an old liberal who saw the light. Always meant to buy his book…..forgot the title, but it came out about 4 years ago.

Oh, man. I know Ed from my years living in Fargo-Moorhead.
He’s an ex-quarterback who signed with, but did not play for, the Raiders. When he was sports director for WDAY, he had the best local sports coverage in the midwest–maybe in the country. He had really, really good people working for him.
He’s a decent local show host. If you listen to his show that goes out only in North Dakota, it’s listenable. He was a fairly decent conservative talk show host, but he has a habit of not doing his homework and show prep.
I think he figured out that there were plenty of half-decent conservative hosts, but none on the liberal side. So he decided to walk on the other side of the street, and it’s worked for him.
He’s also an obnoxious bully. Not just on the air–in real life. There’s dozens of Ed Schultz stories floating around. I know a couple first-hand.
I’m getting my tickets.

I know a few myself. Long story.
