It strikes me that I can get my mind around vehicle barriers, but if we’re talking about putting a fence outside the wall for the new Crystal Cathedral, we could end up with a barrier that prevents escape in a real crisis. We’re not talking about a place where, if there’s a barrier, there are 180 degrees of freedom for escape like a border wall.
