Feeding Our Supporters

The “Feeding Our Future” (FOF) scandal just keeps getting better and better.

Let’s sum up where we are so far:

  1. 48 people were indicted on Thursday by the Feds.
  2. Governor Walz claimed that Ramsey County Judge John Guthman, had ordered the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) – on pain of a contempt charge and potential jail time – to resume payments to the non-profit, as a result of litigation between FOF and MDE.
  3. Guthman responded with a rare and complete rebuke of the Governor, saying that MDE and FOF had reached an agreement that FOF’s various deficiencies had been fixed, making the litigationi moot. That was one round of lies by Walz.

Then, yesterday, this came out; its an extended thread from Fox9 producer Seth Kaplan, and I urge you to read the whole thing:

Money shot:

There was never a mention by Judge Guthmann of criminal contempt and jail time being a possibility. It was always civil/financial contempt and penalties. There is a footnote on page 6 of the June 24, 2021 order reading: “The court’s order does not include a jail sanction so there is no need to address purge conditions.” It also reads “imposing financial and penal consequences for constructive civil contempt of court.”

So the fraud occurred on the administration’s watch – and when caught, Walz tried to throw a judge under the bus. The judge grabbed Governor Klink by the lapels and got his head wedged in there just a little further.

The media will memory hole this but good. But it’s got to be getting harder and harder to do.

  1. The purpose of the fraud was to enrich DFL political supporters.
That seems to be kind of important.

  2. Yup! Because several of the recipients of that ill gotten loot, donated to left wing politicians. They need to be outed, too. The DemoCommies have always screamed loudest about dark money and excessive campaign contributions, when they receive millions more in dark money than the GOP has ever hoped to get.

So, it actually may have been more complicated than it appears…but it’s clearly more complicated than it should be.

Leftist degenerates routinely toss bales of federal fiat money into the hands of skeezy NGO’s run by people who’s only qualification is their race or ethnicity.

They stand back and let the chips fall where they may., and express utter shock when it’s clear the whole thing was a scam.

This has happened thousands of times. In fact, if one digs a bit, one will find embezzlement in 9/10 operations, albeit not usually as brazen as these Sammies.

“Feed the children”? Fuck you; feed your own damn children with the generous welfare we provide.

Public schools were created to educate kids, not feed and clothe them.

  5. Looks like incompetence all of the way down.
This was not a clever scheme, the criminals were pretty open about what they were doing. MDH would have you believe that they had no choice about writing seven figure checks to obvious fraudsters.
There was no fierce protection of tax payer dollars by MDH, perhaps because the defendants were donating thousands of dollars to DFL politicians.
Ellison’s excuse is garbage. You don’t give thieves more money because you believe that if you stop giving them money, they will know that you are on to them, especially if you have no reasonable expectation of recovering the cash..

Their honor (such as it is) was impugned by the judge. Of course, they could’a done that journalism over the months prior to instead of leaving to one guy (Bill Glahn) and the off-the-wall Sahan Journal.

  7. somalis take free government money to feed fake students somalis take free government money for daycare for fake children has anybody looked closely at other free government money programs with heavy somali involvement not saying every somali is a thief but people raised in a pirate culture may see plundering as justified and honorable if they brought their culture here . . . . . . . .

  8. Someone should tell Ellison that if you can’t explain your actions without sounding stupid, it’s because your actions were stupid.
MDE says it knew in the Fall of 2020 that FOF was a fraud. Did they investigate it themselves?
    No.
Did they ask MN Attorney General Ellison to investigate?
    Don’t know.
Did some of the stolen $ end up in the campaign coffers of DFL politicians?
    Yes. Yes it did.
Ellison says he referred the matter to the federal Dept. of Agriculture & they told him it wasn’t their job to investigate the people MDE was giving money to. Ellison says that in April of 2021 he referred the matter to the FBI.
MDE is a Minnesota state agency led by Walz political appointee. Isn’t it curious that Walz’s first pick to head MDE, Mary Ricker, resigned effective the same day that Ellison referred the matter to the FBI?

  9. And it gets better. MN State Auditor Julie Blaha, a DFL’r, Says it wasn’t her job to spot or investigate the fraud. But it is, the state auditor is responsible for accounting for all federal dollars spent by state agencies in something called a “single audit.” Her name (and Walz’s) is all over the single audit that covered fed dollars spent on supplemental nutrition programs: https://www.osa.state.mn.us/media/luiht5m0/2021-state-of-mn-single-audit.pdf

  10. Isn’t it curious that Walz’s first pick to head MDE, Mary Ricker, resigned effective the same day that Ellison referred the matter to the FBI?

Rats know when the hull has ruptured, and are the first to abandon ship. Here’s hoping the captain goes down with this one.

  11. Ricker claimed that she quit because she wanted to get back into the classroom and teach again. She didn’t, Ricker is now the executive director of the Albert Shanker Institute, a 5 person foundation based in Washington, DC.

  12. Ricker should be indicted by Luger, too.

These progs ridicule Trump and other GOP lawmakers, for claiming executive privilege, but when the lights come on, those roaches flee to another state/country, believing that makes them safe from their crimes.

  13. as a white man i have no moral authority to criticize blacks because slavery

as a minnesotan i cannot comment on somali pirate culture because equality

as a person who didn’t build anything but instead had everything handed to me i have no right to comment on the behavior of poor people struggling to make ends meet because of white supremacy

plus i am always happy to pay higher taxes for a better minnesota

    besides its all trumps fault
    and putin damn his eyes
