Observation

By Mitch Berg

Am I the only one that’s noticed that a whole lot of people who chant “January 6 was an existential threat to democracy”…

…are just fine with doxxing the SCOTUS?

…and just fine with storming the doors of the SCOTUS.

There was mostly peaceful window-smashing and police-fighting in LA yesterday.

  3. Emery Says:

Let’s get something straight: many of these same Republicans fretting over the institutional harm of the leak are the same people who excused or downplayed or aided the January 6 attacks on the Capitol. They don’t give a damn about our institutions. They have zero credibility.

Complaining about another Sauce for the Goose situation? Maybe shouldn’t have changed those long-standing rules of honesty, decorum, good-faith and fair dealing. But since you did . . . .

  5. Mammuthus Primigenesis Says:

Having any sense of perspective is anathema to people like Emery.
There were liberal riots all over DC when Trump was inaugurated, liberal riots in DC over Kavanaugh’s appointment, and BLM riots in DC on the summer of 2020. But someone puts their feet on Pelosi’s desk?
IT”S TIME TO SHOOT UNARMED WOMEN!!
    INSURRECTION!!!
What a frikkin’ joke. No wonder Americans rank journalists alongside politicians, used car salesmen, and telemarketers.

They were OK with storming SCOTUS and the Capitol when Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed, if I remember right.

Funny how “let’s get something straight” always seems to involve turning on the smoke machines.

  8. Emery Says:

Branding this mob action as “legitimate political discourse” makes it impossible for moderate conservatives to vote republican. Was 9/11 also a form of political discourse? If the democrats lose the presidency in 2024 and subsequently storm Congress to undo the results, will republicans defend them? Republicans make these short sighted comments but surely they must realize that they could soon be hoisted on their own petard.

January 6 is a preview of the demonstrations to come post 2024 when the America First Republicans demand an end to decadent democracy in Washington and establishment of a Freedom Republic.

Emery, you are a pathetic loser. The whole January 6 narrative is getting taken down. It was planned, coordinated, aided and abetted by nut job Nancy and Marilyn Bowser. The sooner you get that through your pea brain, the more calm you will be. Keep pushing your crap. Thanks

Shit that never makes it to the 5 O’clock news:

Jim Acosta accosts Marjory Greene. She pulls his pants down around his ankles and makes him dance like a monkey. Epic smackdown.

Be sure to observe Acosta’s little duck waddle at the end of the clip. He looks like Pedo Joe when he’s got a load of crap in his Depends.

    Yes, asshole. It was.

WAR IS A MERE CONTINUATION OF POLICY BY OTHER MEANS.
We see, therefore, that War is not merely a political act, but also a real political instrument, a continuation of political commerce, a carrying out of the same by other means. All beyond this which is strictly peculiar to War relates merely to the peculiar nature of the means which it uses. That the tendencies and views of policy shall not be incompatible with these means, the Art of War in general and the Commander in each particular case may demand, and this claim is truly not a trifling one. But however powerfully this may react on political views in particular cases, still it must always be regarded as only a modification of them; for the political view is the object, War is the means, and the means must always include the object in our conception.

Jan 6, was a failure of crowd control, nothing more, nothing less.

The responsibility lies with those who failed to control the crowd as much as it does with those who failed to control themselves.

  13. jdm Says:

^ Which crowd? The one passing through the Statuary Hall minding the velvet ropes or the other one which was shooting and beating those of the first group to death?

  16. Mammuthus Primigenesis Says:

Now leftists have doxxed SC justices and are holding “silent protests” outside their homes.
Just when you thought the left couldn’t go any lower.
What a nasty, disgusting group of human beings. Wait for these tactics to be denounced by Democrats and “journalists” in three . . . two . . . one . . .
    Never.
