Holding a “die-in” at the St. Paul Marathon to let people know that Black Lives Matter is an asinine display of narcissism. That event is packed full of Volvo-driving Alpaca-wearing Liberals who already support your cause. Your antics will change no minds and raise no consciousness. I want to see you laying down blocking traffic on Charles Avenue in Frogtown late at night when the ganstas are busy making deliveries. Those are the people your message needs to reach.

Nothing against Gandhi, but the British in 1947 were a broke country (see coal and food shortages in the homeland) who were tired of fighting. They were also western Democracy who wanted to be the good guys in the eyes of the world.

I’ve read several alternate history stories about Gandhi trying to use the same “passive resistance” methods against a German-occupied India. The results are invariably a lot of dead Indians and a lot of Germans who simply didn’t care.

In cross-race murders, the victim is about twice as likely to be white as the victim is to be Black. Shouldn’t the protests go the other way? Crowds of white activists invading “Black spaces” and staging die-ins?
