Life Imitates Trulbert
By Mitch Berg
Life in Baltimore seems to be imitating my upcoming e-book Trulbert: A Comic Novella About the End of the World As We Know It.
Except for the “broad, hamfisted satire” bit. None of that in Baltimore.

I believe Democrat societies are like 3rd world countries. Either you are very rich and pampered (think Summit Ave, Kenwood neighborhood of Mpls, and cushy college towns), or live in a hell-hole. Detroit, Gary, Baltimore, south Chicago. Drive out into southwestern Minnesota, or central Wisconsin. You see nice towns of middle class Republicans. Few mansions, no bombed out inner cities. Even the small towns that are down on their luck look nice and clean.

Violent crime is rising and the police assert they have been rendered ineffective by political correctness.
And yet if one were to suggest that citizens arm themselves for their own protection, perhaps form Vigilance Committees . . . .

Ah, but that’s where you’re wrong, Joe. I’d guess a sizable minority, perhaps half, of the fine citizens of Baltimore are prohibited from having a firearm legally in their possession.
The other half hire armed chauffeurs to whisk them to and from DNC fundraisers.

its a safe bet Mosby and Rawlings-Blake both travel with armed escorts (to keep them safe from the privileged straight white males).
