Iranian sock-puppet “president” Ahmadinejad says 9/11 was an inside job…

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday called the September 11 attacks on the United States a “big fabrication” that was used to justify the U.S. war on terrorism, the official IRNA news agency reported.

…guaranteeing him a post-term job either on Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, or writing for Minnesota “Progressive” Project along with 9/11 truther Grace Kelly.

It’s good to see the lad planning ahead.

Truthers are not specific to the left. Apparently they are an emerging subset of the tea party movement and the conspiracy theorists on the right as well, right alongside the Birchers and their fears about flouride in our drinking water.

  2. K-Rod Says:

    “Apparently”

    So you allege.

There is also a “subset” that are Liberal Fascist Obama supporters.

  3. Mitch Berg Says:

Truthers are not specific to the left.

No, but the statistical majority of truthers – including 35% of Democrats – are on the left.

Apparently they are an emerging subset of the tea party movement

“Emerging?” That implies “Growing”. There’ve always been a thin film of truthers at Tea Parties – nobody checks people for ideology at the gates, because there are no checkers and, also, no gates.

Since you say it’s “apparent”, that means something is explicitly giving you the impression that it’s a growing phenomenon. Please substantiate – as I did with the Democrats’ “truther” figures (from a 2007 Rasmussen poll that showed only 40% of Dems completely reject the notion that Bush knew something about the attacks).

and the conspiracy theorists on the right as well, right alongside the Birchers and their fears about flouride in our drinking water.

Right. They’ve always been there. They do not come anywhere near 35% of the Tea Party, much less the GOP.

Berg’s Seventh Law – which is settled science, by the way – shows us that whenever Dems start argling about right-wing “paranoia”, it’s because they want to frame the discussion to cover for left-wing…paranoia.

True, but no one thinks Grace Kelly is a right winger and neither left nor right wants ol’ Jesse anymore. Otherwise, what Mitch said, especially substantiating the “apparently they are emerging subset of the tea party movement” business.

The time for debate is over. 😉

with friends like that in the 9/11 truther movement who needs enemies. Time to go check that psycho infowars.com site to see what they have to say. I bet Alex Jones likes having IwannaJihad on his side because they have the same opinion about joos

    35% of Democrats

So belief that the Bush administration received a memo saying Bin Laden/Al Queda was planning an attack on the U.S. makes someone a Truther? I’d think the number would be higher, since they did receive such a memo. That doesn’t make 9/11 an inside job.

There’s a difference between thinking the governement dropped the ball and thinking they planned the whole thing. That poll doesn’t make that distinction.

  8. K-Rod Says:

Stool, Bin Laden/Al Queda attacked US when William Jefferson Clinton was POTUS.

    Nevermind.

You just can’t reason with partisans like stool.

  9. DiscordianStooj Says:

They did indeed. Did I say otherwise?

It’s funny you call me a partisan, since you can’t read any comment I write without insinuating I said something “lefty” that I didn’t say.

Right. As I’ve noted in this space. I agree. Just as I agree that the “28% of Republicans are “birthers”” stat is equally overbroad, including everyone who has ANY question, or even unclarity, about Obama’s citizenship.

  11. K-Rod Says:

Can I spot Liberal Fascists a mile away?

    Do cops lie?

    Duh.

  12. DiscordianStooj Says:

Mitch, I’d tend to agree, but there’s really no ambiguity as to whether Obama’s a natural born U.S. citizen, is there?

krod – You see “liberal fascists” everywhere. There are probably some in the bushes outside your house. Better go chase them off.

Yes, cops lie. Do engineers lie?

Rhetorical question, of course. Everyone lies. In fact, I’ll bet you lie if you reply to this.
