Berg’s 21`st Law Is Universal
By Mitch Berg
Omar Fateh won the the DFL – let’s be honest, DSA – endorsement for Mayor of Minneapolis:
Well – probably won:
Anyway, close enough for city work.
Anyway, the whole thing is further proof of Berg’s 21st Law.
And at least he knows what the real problems are:
This fall will become known as the moment when Minneapolis’s decay graduated from organic to institutional.

Somali socialism. Heh.
So, socialism is well known to have failed everywhere it was tried. Except the “next time”. Which will be different. And this time the effort will be led by a representative from an area of the world not known for any successful governments. Ever.

Minneapolis will finally get the mayor it deserves.

Once Mayor Fateh replaces the MPLS Police Department (and the very troublesome police union) with his Dept of Public Safety expect the downtown office space occupancy to plummet. Target, USBank, etc will move most or all their operations out to the suburbs(or out of state). Then the city can start installing the homeless in repurposed empty office buildings on the way to derelection. Mpls will be a truly vibrant example to the rest of the country.

With the impending election of NYC Mayor-to-be Mamdani, I’ll be sitting back, laughing my ass off at them getting the government they deserve, good and hard. While NYC is an economic capitol, the after-effects of his mayorship will mostly be limited to New York State.
Same thing would apply to me for Mpls, if I didn’t live in this state. Since I am 3 miles away from the nearest Mpls border, I expect Fateh’s regime will cause ancillary effects that I will notice.

We won’t be so smug when these grifting parasites in California, Illinois, New York and Minnesota moan and wail to Congress for billions to bail them out. We’re broke! We’re bankrupt! You need to give us no-strings-attached dough and lots of it!!!!
And Congress will gol darn them.

If Fateh wins, how many cops will quit or retire early?

If I were a LEO in Minneapolis and I was assigned to Omar’s detail, I would refuse the assignment and let them fire me for it.

Just for kicks, I looked up the number of murders committed by those horrible white supremacists. In 2024, it was 13. I’d guess that there are a number of individual street gangs in Chicago with a higher body count than the neo-KKK.
Regarding legal and illegal immigrants, if it’s proportional to population, we’re talking about 3000 murders, and a large portion of those would not have occurred here if we enforced our immigration laws. The trouble is that so many “sanctuary” jurisdictions are not tracking these crimes by immigration status–so the argument is, more or less, “well, we’re not looking, so we’re not finding anything, hence there is no problem”.
And Minneapolis? There is a part of me, yes, that says “let them get what is coming to them good and hard.” There is another part of me that says “what about when we need to go there? Doesn’t our safety matter?”.

I’m the Captain now!

I heard it reported in the last few days that the medium price for a home in Mpls is $400K. I’m wondering what will happen to that figure when they elect a Mayor that is a Marxist. I suspect that a good many homeowners will be leaving the city as quickly as they can before the housing market collapses.

“Minneapolis will finally get the mayor it deserves.”
Naw, Jeffrey Dahmer’s dead.
But this is close!

Bobby, I don’t believe Dahmer is anywhere near as murderous as your average Marxist once that Marxist has gotten power. Just sayin’.

I wonder how many people still get Eva Young references?
I wonder whatever happened to Eva?
Not enough to spend effort finding out, but I wonder.
