In Minnesota before 1975, you had to have a valid reason to get divorced. That changed with No Fault Divorce as part of the Women’s Liberation movement.
I dunno – would this woman have had valid grounds for divorce under the old law? Is “disrespecting a vagina owner” the same as “mental cruelty?”

I know women who consistently shave a few years off their age, one has been “39” for the entire decade as I’ve known her.
What if a married woman decided to shave off a bunch of years?

Sorry to say, I know a family where one of the spouses was probably giving off “cute crazy” vibes early in the relationship – and over a decade and change, evolved into debilitating mental illness and, lately, changning genders.
It can sneak up on you.

My former sister in law fits this mode, though thankfully not getting confused about her gender. The uniting thing about her behavior is that she needed to be in control of everything–whether she was the “submissive housewife” or radical feminist, she was going to make the decisions. My wife and I talked a lot with her ex husband, my wife’s brother, a lot as she was destroying their marriage, and the only thing I could think of to help save the marriage was to plead with the brother “don’t give her what she wants.”
She ended up getting the divorce, allowed her home to be a party home for her kids, and we buried one of them about a year ago after a fentanyl overdose. Ex-sister-in-law is said to have been dating three men at that time, one of whom was a retired cop and helped clean out the drugs from her house so no investigation would find them and start asking questions.
Being a “vagina owner” can convey certain powers of persuasion, I guess, that can be vicious and lethal to others. Thankfully my brother-in-law is remarried to a wonderful woman who does not need to control everything, and he’s a lot happier.
