Shots Fired

In the wake of his move to Twitter, some bad news for Tucker Carlson.

He’s been banned from…

…uh…

“Tribel”.

Because apparently nobody’s banning people on Mastodon.

Or Air America, apparently.

  1. … announced on Twitter.

It’s actually pretty funny when you think about it. Even tho’ “Carlson is a proven liar, racist, and insurrectionist who spreads Russian propaganda that threatens our democracy”, Tribel’s users must be protected from him. What? They’re too sensitive to see/read people with different viewpoints? They might be convinced, duped by Russian propaganda? Well, for Democrats, it wouldn’t be the first time.

  2. Well, when you look at the lying, racist propaganda spreading site that announced it…

  3. “Publicity stunt. Seems to have worked.”

Yup. I’d never heard of them until this post.

  4. Considering what passes for “literally genocide” these days I can see why they’d want to ban Tucker. But also, great publicity. Lol.

  5. That’s rich. This is a man who said the exact opposite on the air from what he was saying to his friends and colleagues. A man who strongly criticized others at Fox for telling the truth, because that wasn’t what the Fox audience wanted to hear. Carlson is himself probably the worst propagandist in US media.

Carlson is less of a problem than his gullible audience, most of whom appear to insist on being lied to. The sad thing is most of Carlson’s audience won’t care about the blatant dishonesty — their appetite for affirmation far outstrips their care for reality.

Carlson being forced out at FOX is the biggest loss for Putin since Kherson.

  6. God as my witness I have never heard of Tribble, or whatever, and I spend way too much time on these here innertubes.

PS: don’t read the troll anymore, I don’t have enough time, just ban him Mitch. You know you want to.

  7. We now must “police speech ” in this country, due to THE one and only big lie: that Jan 6 was an insurrection. Policing speech is soviet communism stuff.

PSS again, I don’t read the troll so no idea, but Carlson is getting like 60 MILLION views per posting. That’s one years worth for the fake news.

    Winning, winning bigly.

  8. “At the most basic level, the news you consume is a lie,” ~ Tucker Carlson

As an expert 🤥 he should know

This is a cardinal example of irony. The guy who manipulates tells his audience that they’re being manipulated, but only by others. How can people be so thick as not to see this?

  9. Carlson should be collecting some NIL money from Trifle, I mean, Tribel (rhymes with Libel). They’re clearly using his name, image, and likeness for their own promotion.

  10. The sad thing is that none of it matters. Even if Carlson stumbles at Twitter, there’s always another Carlson waiting in the wings who will be just as bad, and get just as much attention.

  11. Americans’ response to this news is, “WTF is Tribal?”

My personal question is, “Did Tucker even have an account?”

Gotta give Tribal credit though. Great earned media publicity campaign. It’ll even get them Lefty users that won’t post a next week.

  12. Banning Tucker Carlson is not a hypocritical violation of the left’s core principle of freedom of a speech. The left has no core principles.

Banning The Emery Collective from this website would be a hypocritical violation of Mitchell’s core principle of freedom of speech, because Mitch has principles.

    See the difference?

  13. Half the country believes free speech protects democracy, the other half believes that free speech threatens democracy.
Don’t see how you square this circle.
The first amendment is meaningless if the government can work around it by leaning on corporations to be its enforcers.
It’s damn near meaningless if all of the elements of American elite culture simply ignore the first amendment.

  14. It’s not that hard to understand MMP.

You can agree with me in many forms of expression, all of which are covered under freedom of speech.

You can agree with me in prose or poetry, song or interpretive dance, sculpture, gestures, graffiti and mostly peaceful demonstrations. This is not an exhaustive list, there may be other ways you can agree with me. Use your creativity and imagination.

The one thing you cannot do is disagree with me because I hate it when people do that. Disagreeing with me is hate speech. Hate speech is not protected by freedom of speech. And therefore hate speech is banned.

    See? Simple.

  15. EMERY: “At what point in your mother’s pregnancy with you was it no longer OK to abort you?”

I’ll join the chorus…you are a moral coward…see yourself out troll.

  16. OK, having worked for a while as a quality engineer, and having heard from multiple HR departments (thankfully secondhand, I didn’t get in trouble) about why QEs shouldn’t use the phrase “tribal knowledge” to describe the unwritten policies and practices at a company because it could be seen as disparaging the cultures of native peoples, I find it amusing that a progressive startup would call itself Tribel, especially given that one major phrase associated with the term is “Tribal warfare”.

The lack of self-awareness on the part of the left just needs to be seen to be believed, and I’m sure that Carlson is shaking in his boots because such an outfit refuses to host him.

  17. Today there was some kind of parade in DC by a group of Confidential Sources calling itself “Patriot Front.”
Lol. I am as conservative as they come, and I hadn’t heard of this “Patriot Front” until I saw a video of this. No conservative that I know has ever heard of them. None of the conservative writers or pundits I follow has ever mentioned them, as far as I know.
The FBI is now creating InSuReKKKtion porn for the media.

  18. Loved this quote about the “parade” by the “Patriot Front”: Patriots don’t cover their faces. Federal agents do.

  19. Patriot Front has been active on Gab for years. They definitely were not feds to begin with; can’t say for sure now.

But it’s guaranteed they have some feds among them now. The lads need to move forward carefully.

Also, the fuckwad that owns Tribal also owns Occupy Democrats. He’s got his head up his own ass.

  20. Cops escorted the “Patriot Front” marchers to & from their parade site, kept protesters from following them, and antifa didn’t show up

  21. Geez. Dressed identically – in khakis, no less (does any clothing say “how do you do, fellow kids” more than khakis?).

Anyway, there’s a disagreement among some gab’ers as to whether that video shows FBI thugs dressed up to entrap “conservatives”. Kinda revealing who’s arguing for which perspective.

    Good points, MMP.

  22. A group of 31 patriot front people were arrested en masse last summer, headed to protest some drag queen event in Idaho. Police got them in their uniforms, with riot shields and bear spray.
Rumor is that despite all 31 being arrested by Idaho cops for conspiracy to riot, only one was actually charged & all he got was probation.
    Huh.
The JD has made it clear that they consider groups like Patriot Front to be there highest priority target. An awful lot of feds are building lucrative careers based on busting “white supremacist terrorists.” In my opinion the chance that ANY white nationalist group that gets its name in the papers has NOT been infiltrated by the FBI is zero.

  23. Biden has publicly blamed the Jan 6 riots on white supremacist terrorism.
Biden’s JD says the number one threat to the the US is white supremacist terrorism.
You don’t think these guys are playing around, do you?
We know Trump is ahead in the polls. We know that there is a solid chance that Biden will not actually be on the ballot on November 5th next year, and even if he is, he will lose to Trump.
Trump got the most presidential votes of a GOP candidate in history in 2020.
Slow Joe Biden has weaponized the federal JD and even democrat state AG’s and prosecutors at the local level to go after Trump and his supporters by any means necessary, cheered on by all the news media, Hollywood, big business, and academia.
    You ain’t seen nothing yet.
As for me, once you have the intelligence services playing a role in selecting the president, this is not the country I grew up in and was taught to love. I am a Christian, so my ultimate loyalty is not to my country, but to the living Son of God. Still I am disappointed. The deep pathologies of the American ruling class were somehow held in check by the cold war. Now they are in full bloom, and most Americans seem fine with that.
