Not For Turning

The DFL noise machine has been treating this speech by Rep. Walter Hudson – longtime friend of this blog, and by far my favorite outside NARN guest host – like a return of the Nuremberg Laws.

It’s in response to the Transgender Sanctuary (AKA “Kidnapping Protection”) legalization.

Walter’s right. And it’s time for people who support, not just American freedom, not just Western Civilizaiton, but objective reality, to take a place in the fight.

In “1984”, the tipping point in Riley breaking Winston Smith was getting him to say “2+2=5” like he really meant it.

This isn’t new.

From abusive marriages to Communist countries the first step is convincing you reality isn’t real. Women are “vulva owners”. Truth is false. Freedom is slavery.

It’s reality versus fantasy time.

  1. If a shithole state like Minnesota can decide to nullify laws from other states, what is to stop other states from refusing to recognize the legitimacy of drivers licenses from shithole states that hand them out to foreign nationals here illegally?

Enforcement would include a citation for driving without a valid license, up to and including impounding the vehicle the offender is driving, if there isn’t a legally licensed driver in it. Alien travelers from shithole states could apply for temporary licenses from civilized states. We do this for lawyers state Bar associations, why not drivers?

From there, we can go forward with more far reaching state nullifications, leading to the requirement citizens must apply for a visa to come and go between states. Persons with on-going business between states, like truck drivers and service technicians could apply for a ‘fast pass’ like TSA does.

I can see a bright new future for people living in civilized states that eliminates the need for outright secessions.

  2. Walter gives the kind of speech you never hear in legislatures any more. Well done.

BTW, I notice Berg’s “lefty that isn’t all the bad” buddy Bob Collins has floated back up on TwitR like a turd that wont flush – @TGOT_msp What a gaping asshole.

  3. Here’s Bob’s reaction:

One thing you can definitely say about @WalterHudson and the people of Albertville: they sure know how to shit all over their Lord and Savior.

  4. This is the one of the dark sides to the exponential growth of social media. If you wish to reject objective reality and replace it with your reality (which, by the way, is not “reality, but a “perspective”), there are many others who are willing to indulge your self-delusion, provided you indulge theirs.

  5. Every time someone challenges Emery to justify his position abortion, he brings up some lame claim that conservatives should fund adoption services out of their own pocket.

Doesn’t Minnesota have a 20 billion dollar surplus? Don’t democrats control all three branches? Why isn’t some of that surplus going toward the adoption services? Why is it all going to taxpayer funded abortion and child general mutilation?

Why it’s almost as if democrats hate children and want them to die.

  6. When Adam Savage from Mythbusters said, “I reject your reality and substitute my own.” It was a funny little quip and everybody understood that it was a joke. Now, the Left demands that we ALL accept and celebrate their rejection of reality, will simultaneously joining in on proselytizing their substituted reality as The one and only Reality, at least until they change their minds. At that point, we’re supposed to go along and claim that THIS new reality isn’t new. Instead this has always been the reality. As Walter regularly points out, that consideration is not a two way street. It never burdens the Left to celebrate our viewpoint. And as Walter recently pointed out by posting an email exchange, Lefties proudly proclaim that Reality is not fixed. It’s fluid to fit the individuals’, at least the proper individuals, feelz.

I’ve long said that Terry Goodkind’s Sword of Truth series is conservative primer. I’d suggest people recommend it to teenagers that like fantasy books. One of the Wizard’s Rules the main character identifies explains to other characters is,
“The only sovereign you can allow to rule you is reason.
The first law of reason is this: what exists, exists; what is, is; and from this irreducible bedrock principle, all knowledge is built. It is the foundation from which life is embraced.”

Walter’s correct, if we don’t stand for Reality, there isn’t any false, destructive idea we can’t be led to.

  7. But admitting objective reality leads to reason, and then to right reason (as opposed to art or speculation), and that dumps us back in morality with St. Augustine giving us a tiresome lecture about virtue. How passe. How quaint. No, no, that won’t do at all.

I demand you recognize my fantasy as your reality. It is my rightful due as the creator of my own little universe. That other God might call himself yahweh, don’t care, this is my universe and I am the God of it. Call me joe.

  8. Thanks, SmithStCrx. I’m going to try that series. How do you feel about using the televised version (Legend of the Seeker) vs the books (I have so much to read now).

  9. It’s rough these days, but I’m taking encouragement as the feminists band together with powerlifters, fundamentalists, and others to push back as “trans” athletes infringe on the women’s categories in sport.

And as we win the debate for sport, I think people are going to start to see the other issues more clearly. One of the key ones is that allowing “trans women” into the women’s locker room allows those who ought to be on Megan’s List to enter. That should be sufficient to put the kibosh on that.
