Mandate

So when a parent leaves a narcissistic piece of drama royalty who is using their children’s physiques and psyches as their personal doodle board, but their ex hauls them to Minnesota to complete the job, the Minnesota House has just voted to make the state a safe haven for kidnapping.

No, seriously:

And this is how popular it is here in Minnesota:

According to the latest Thinking Minnesota poll (February 26-28), an overwhelming majority (67%) of Minnesotans oppose sex change operations for minors. The poll was released as the Minnesota House prepares to debate a bill Thursday making Minnesota a “trans refuge” state where the practice will be protected and even encouraged. All political subgroups in the poll opposed sex change operations for minors including Democrats. There is a 51-point gap in support for the practice among Minnesota independents (16%-67%).

The poll was conducted by Meeting Street Insights, a nationally recognized polling operation based in Charleston, South Carolina. Using a mix of cell phones and landline phones, the company interviewed 500 registered voters across Minnesota from February 26-28, 2023. The margin of error is +-4.38 percent.

And the DFL knows it:

But the DFL doesn’t care. They are using their “trifecta” of complete progressive control to do exactly what I said they’d do in 2018: jam down everything they can, knowing that even if they lose the trifecta next year, it’s going to be almost impossible to roll most of it back.

More on the show tomorrow.

You posture as an expert in economics, political science, moral philosophy, jurisprudence, bibliothecography, public health, biology, and epidemiology so I’m curious just what credentials do you have?
How many degrees do you hold?
Where did you get your Bachelors, your Masters, your JD, and your PhD?

Vlad makes a good point, where did you get your MD and what residencies did you take?

Give us a peek behind the curtain, outline your CV.

  2. 👆Guess that explanation didn’t work for Mrs. rAT when she caught you reading your “Bible” to the nurse at bedtime.

Explains why she’s not in any of your bullshit stories.

  3. My thoughts are licensed by someone else and a nondisclosure agreement prevents me from writing about it.

  4. It’s really quite simple. the people who determine which books a child should be allowed to read are that child’s parents. Really simple, and the reason why this is should be obvious, but I will explain it for the simpletons.
Parents have invested a massive amount of value in each of their children. If they screw up raising their kids, they will suffer proportionately.
School librarians and teachers? They only remember your kid’s name, if they do so, because they are paid to do so.
This is not “a decision society has made.” It is an expression of human nature itself.

  5. Emery is an expert in nothing. He has never written anything that shows any particular original insight into any issue, he repeats whatever he reads on the MSNBC or DU websites. Cf. with own comments.

  6. Wesley Yang:
One side became racial monomaniacs and a gender cult; the other wants to keep teaching reading and math, it’s not more complicated than that.

  7. rAT Emery squeaked: “My thoughts are licensed by someone else and a nondisclosure agreement prevents me from writing about it.”

Yeah well, I doubt a licensing agreement with NAMBLA is enforceable, rAT.

    Go ahead: tell it all.

  8. NPR — your tax dollars at work — write:
At the center of the issue is whether transgender women athletes have a physical advantage over other female competitors, even after lowering their testosterone levels.
    https://n.pr/40gbti1
    1) in which world does describing men pretending to be women considered female?
    2) Virtually no one believes that going through male puberty does not confer an athletic advantage on men. Muscle mass increases, bones grow thicker to support more muscles w/o breaking, etc. This is literally Human Anatomy 101.The person who wrote this story does not believe that there is any question that going through male puberty gives a transgender athlete an advantage over female athletes. None of the people who read the article believe that there is any question that going through male puberty gives a transgender athlete an advantage over female athletes.
For God’s sake, these differences in athletic ability become more pronounced, not less so, when you get out on the wings of the performance curve where high ranked athletes are placed. It is literally simple math & stats.

This a literally the dumbest comment Emery has ever made.
It really does resemble comments by the now banned SITD commenter DogGone. It is wrong in both its suppositions and its conclusion, and the conclusion, even if it were true, is meaningless, and even if it were not meaningless, would not mean what the commenter thinks that it means.
It’s actually fractally stupid. Each of it’s suppositions are made up of more stupidity.

  10. James Smith, the child of Ted and Mary Smith, has died of a drug overdose at age 28.
Ted & Mary Smith: (sobbing) Our boy is gone! Oh God, our boy, our poor boy, God, if only I knew what to do, Here is a picture of Jimmy at his first T-ball practice, I skipped work to see that. Almost lost my job, but I couldn’t miss it. He had such a big smile when he saw me in the stands, cheering him on. Oh, God, Oh dear God!” (more sobbing).
Mr. Jones, James Smith’s eighth grade social studies teacher: “Jimmy Smith? I think that I remember him. Not a bad baseball player, if I recall. Obviously a homosexual, he positively worshiped all the top male athletes. I sent him off to see the district’s gender counselor. And now he’s dead. Well, that is what capitalism does to people, isn’t it?”

  11. And, just because it is pleasant, and appropriate, to rub the nose of the Left into its own filth:
Average age of Americans who have died of covid: 75.
Average life expectancy of Americans: 76.
    Yep, lockdowns totally worth it.

By which I mean, it is not too difficult to find a 19 year old woman who can outrun a 19 year old boy in the general population. But in the class of athletic runners, it will be very difficult, if not impossible, to find a 19 year old woman who can outrun a 19 year old man.

is just Emery asserting that this is his blog and that he can drive the discussion wherever he wants, very much like Peev and his canine catamite used to do. The difference is that they were individual actors with personal animus, whereas Emery or more accurately the Emery Collective behave like a targeted political action(Psyop). Their goal is to discredit this blog, its author and its posters. Emery doesn’t betray personal animus, but they do present the kind of groupthink idiocy that I found common among AFSCME members at Hennipin County and the State of MN – this is part of the job for them and it is likely sanctioned by emery’s masters.

Collectivism is all about subsuming individual identity into the group.

The reason that the Emery Collective has never attempted to directly answer Mitch’s question; “At what point in your mother’s pregnancy with you would it have become unacceptable for her to abort you?” is that it cannot be answered by groupthink collectivist dogma. It has to be answered individually. What good collectivist is willing to offer an individual answer to that question and then endure the subsequent “struggle session” if/when their answer fails to conform perfectly to dogma.

Mitch’s question At what point in your mother’s pregnancy with you would it have become unacceptable for her to abort you?
evokes real terror for the Emerys. It can only be answered by an individual and individuals are anathema to the collective. Terrorizing the Emerys is the reason I keep posting it.

  16. It’s seminar caller training, Mr. Bodine. You are not there to educate anyone, you are not there to answer questions. You are there to flood the comment section with your talking points. That is why Emery is a constant threadjacker. Mitch publishes a post about hijinx in the Saint Paul Mayor’s office, Emery wants to push a talking point about Trump’s son in law. As another commenter, you have a choice: ignore Emery’s attempt to flood the comments with his talking points, or try to counter whatever bizarre talking point he has crapped out.

  17. I am seeing polling that suggests that most people, when they hear the words “gender affirming care,” think that it means affirming the biological sex a patient with born with.
