Garland, the DOJ, FBI and any other agency should refuse to answer to Congressional subpoenas, citing the precedent set by, among others, Congressman Jim Jordan, as mere political stunts. These agencies have their own special powers. Democrats can behave like the GOP’s MAGA partisans and return the favor by declining to comply with Republican subpoenas.

Maybe inflation was simply price discovery after a decade of cheap money. Only time will tell whether such a repricing is sustainable for the average consumer. If its not — then brace yourselves for a tough 2023/2024. If it is sustainable, then the equity market is probably close to fair value maybe even slightly overvalued. Going for government or corporate bonds with very near-term maturities is probably your best bet at this point if you’re the pessimist.
