  1. the city shut them down because they were using smoker grills to produce smoked meat for their bbq food trucks

well duh of course they were shut down smoke comes from burning wood which causes climate change like the hurricane in florida right now

and where do you think all that second hand smoke goes anyway that’s right saint paul which is mostly women children and persons of color

why do you hate black children and want them to die

  2. So, I understand about the shutdown of the food truck because of the Mpls bureaucracy, but why the brewery?

  3. JDM,
Sounds like there’s already a new tenant lined up. Don’t know for sure what order things went in, but the article makes it seem like the landlord found BUCH to be the renter instead of renewing the lease to the Brewery.

  4. SSC, I saw that but I was unsure what conclusions to draw w/o the order of events being given. Since I don’t live in the metro area, I thought maybe there was secret information about this that needed an urban decoder ring or something. That’s why I asked.

  5. It took Detroit two decades to go from a thriving metropolis to a rotting hulk of a city. Minneapolis is continuing its death spiral.

  6. This is too bad. Able makes some really good beer and Animales makes some fine, greasy burgers.

It seems like every city in the metro, now has a brewery. Bloomington has 9 Mile Brewing, named after Nine Mile Creek. Richfield was close to getting one, but they pulled their request. Too many old NIMBYs were bitching about it.

The manager at my MGM, told me that they are actually killing each other, because there’s only so much cooler space.
