There are times I miss the old website “Stuff White People Like“.- a satirical, often hilarious look at the foibles of generally upper middle class, educated, urban honkies. It became a best selling book, chronicling the gentle social satire of a much less divisive time – the George W. Bush administration.

Last week, after an hours long standoff that allegedly began, and continued, with random gun fire fired blindly through the walls into neighboring apartments, police snipers apparently killed Tekle Sundberg, aman who (let’s be solicitors) was apparently mentally ill, and (let’s be honest) had apparently been terrorizing the other residents of that apartment block for quite some time.
I’m not equipped to comment on the merits of the police action; while we have passed the statutory three day limit imposed by birds 18th law, The Twin Cities media just doesn’t do a good job of covering stories where facts and progressive narrative intersect. Like the Christine Rusczyk shooting, this is is going to be a long, ugly ride.
What I am equipped to comment on, though, is the behavior of perhaps the most loathsome group of people in society today – Woke, Overeducated, Middle-class Progressive White Activists. (Hereafter WOMPWAs).
And one of the things WOMPWAs like is standing around in groups of like-minded people, preaching to the infidels. Sometimes they are called protests, sometimes visuals – and, more accurately, group virtue signaling.
Which is what they were doing on Friday, until of Mr. Sundberg’s victims – Arabelle Foss-Scarabella, a single of mother of two who lived next-door to the late Mr. Sundberg – arrived on the scene:

There is plenty of evidence that Sundberg was deeply mentally ill.
There is even more evidence that WOMPWAS are equally mentally ill, in their own way.

Mark and Cindy Sundberg and the family’s new legal team – comprising civil rights lawyers Ben Crump and Jeff Storms – issued a press statement Friday evening stating that they have received “very little information” as to why two Minneapolis police snipers opened fire on the 20-year-old during an overnight standoff.
Yeah, it’s a complete mystery why their little Tekle was “picked off like an animal from a rooftop.”
As Arabella Foss-Yarbrough asked, “He had six hours to choose life. I had two to five minutes to choose life. Why didn’t you guys check on him to make sure he had proper help before this happened?”

Just like Daunte Wright, wtf were his parents?! Not paying attention, obviously. Not aware that their “little angels that were just starting to turn their lives around”, had guns, had been general nuisances, auto registration was expired or whatever.
So Sundberg was in legal possession of the gun?
If he got it from his dad, I hope the woman sues the house out from under him. Could be a chance for her to become a home owner.
I had seen that protests were starting for this particular shooting last week. I almost pointed it out to you, but wanted to wait for more information. I couldn’t figure out how after Uvalde, anyone would protest the police for doing what I think reasonable people think is their job. But, I didn’t have all the facts-as we still don’t. Then, over the weekend I saw what the protestors we’re doing to the actual victims – the young woman and family the now deceased shooter terrorized. I had no words. This is a prime example of what we want police to actually do- stop a crime, murder, etc before anyone innocent dies. If we protest when they do that, we have no functional law anymore. I am sorry for the parents of the shooter because a loss of life is never easy. But, the young woman is right- why didn’t they get him help sooner?
I can’t believe that in 6 hours they couldn’t find a certified unarmed violence interrupter to deal with this crazy guy.
The problem is: the police killed Tekle Sundberg. If he had been gunned down on the street, it never would have made ‘CCO or the Strib – and it certainly would not have caught the attention of the WOMPWAs.
Apparently, someone set up GoFundMe accounts for both Sundberg and Ms. Foss-Yarbrough. As you might expect, Sundberg’s was out raising Foss-Yarborough’s- until this video hit social media. Now, her fund is crushing it.
The media and the Sundberg’s want to make this about the police response.
The Minneapolis police are under a microscope. You aren’t going to find a cavalier response to a shooter in the ranks of the MPD. The Minneapolis cops know that the mayor, DA, state AG, and governor are eager to hang them out to dry.
So, let’s ask some questions the media hasn’t asked.
-Where did the gun come from?
-Criminal record of Sundberg.
-Mental health evaluations of Sundberg, if any.
This guy was a lunatic with a gun. The police responded appropriately to a call about a lunatic with a gun.
How did the lunatic get the gun?
The hostility of Democrat DA’s to enforcing strict penalties for gun crimes is difficult to comprehend. These bozos do not believe that it is their job to protect the public by putting criminals in jail, they believe that there job is to keep black and hispanic young people out of jail if at all possible, no matter the consequences to public safety.

I mean, we are following it, piece-meal, but police snipers wasting 6 hours per mental patient is going to take forever to solve the problem. Aren’t there any showers we could convert to gas?
After all, we wouldn’t want to be lagging behind the rest of the world in how we treat our most vulnerable citizens, would we?

Ms. Foss-Yarborough’s calling out AntiFa, May have inspired a trend. On Saturday, some Oregon AntiFa punks decided to rally at a country western bar in Salem, to confront fascism. Unfortunately for these miscreants, it was a biker bar. Although a lot of verbal jarring went on, the AntiFa punks decided to leave.
Then, they called another rally at another bar about 20 miles away. I guess that the dip shit that planned that one, also failed to realize that the new target, was also a biker bar. Once again, the thugs got their asses handed to them.
Now, it is rumored that several biker clubs are now calling truces on old feuds and have formed an alliance to confront AntiFa whenever they gather.

To get the numbers right, there will have to be some special DEI “guidance” given to Canadian health officials. For example, while just being medium crazy might get you put in the euthanasia pile if you are white, you have to be really crazy to be euthanized if you are a minority. They’ll adjust criteria as necessary because as we all know, the MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE WORLD IS DIVERSITY EQUITY AND INCLUSION.
Since the experts™ will be pronouncing the degree of craziness that will get you killed, who will watch over them? What can go wrong?
Boss, that is hilarious. One would figure that even Antifa fascists would take a hint when they saw a row of Harleys outside, but apparently that level of thinking eludes this portion of the progressive left.
But to the topic, it strikes me that this kind of conflict is a big reason why we’re well advised to wait a while before we start to protest. Sometimes it takes time for facts to get out. I’d love to see more peaceful resolutions to cases where the mentally ill act viciously, but before damning the police, maybe we need to take a serious look at what went on.
