Well, there’s always that whole “wave of right wing terror, Coming along any day now, honest!” thing that has made them indispensable to the Democrats…

Once again we see the rottin fruits of the bourgeois decision making process at work: Contingency, Consensus, Compromise.
No one sticks his neck out, no one can be blamed for failure, rewards are reaped for managing a problem, not fixing it.
The words from “Pancho and Lefty” come to mind, as applied to Hillary:

Well said. I’ve noticed that in a lot of the special investigations, it’s almost as if the investigators have forgotten a basic principle; the underling, faced with a serious prison sentence for a “smaller” crime, will often provide evidence to convict the Godfather of something big.
Or, come to think of how the “Godfathers” today are named “Clinton”, “Obama”, and the like, maybe it’s by plan. Maybe they want to pretend that they’re doing their jobs, but don’t want to put the real criminals in jail.
Maybe that explains why the FBI didn’t do as much as issue a single subpoena in the Nassar case, or even interview people who were willing to be interviewed. There were Godfathers at USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee to be protected.
