In a state dominated 2:1 by registered voters from your party, you evaded being recalled by a 7:4 margin.

After outspending the initiative by 5:1, with the united efforts of an in-the-bag media and a full turnout of the national social nomenklatura, in a vote that still saw your support among Latinos erode still further.

Sleep tight, Democrats.

The comments being made by the brain dead zombies that voted for idiot Newsom, proved what we have been saying about the majority of lefties for years; they want the government to run their lives for them. Well, it didn’t take long for them to get their wish. Yesterday afternoon, the City of LA implemented a far reaching mask mandate.

  2. The radicals in office have been throwing around the word “democracy” quite a bit lately. Last September congressional Democrats tried and failed to pass “Protecting Our Democracy Act,” https://intelligence.house.gov/uploadedfiles/fact_sheet.pdf.
    This was a blatant attack on Trump and Trump voters.
    The important thing, the goal, of the federal government, is not democracy and representation. The goal of the federal government is explicitly given to us in the preamble to the constitution:
    We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
    I don’t see the word “democracy” in there.
    A democratic form of government is legitimate only so far as it promotes the goals stated in the preamble, and it does that by holding elected officials accountable to the people.
    The federal government was never intended to be an instrument of democracy. There is no level of government less subject to democratic oversight than the federal government.

    The outgoing president of the United States during this period of time [fomented] unrest leading to an insurrection and an attack on our nation’s capitol on January 6th… One of the darkest days in our nation’s history. Beyond reports in this book, there’s been widespread reporting and commentary… questioning the former president’s stability….

    Does that sound to you like a person who respects the democratic process that elected Trump?

  4. Boss, LA County enacted a “show me your papers” law. No entrance to entertainment venues without showing proof of vax.

    I am going to get an index card and print a human hand giving the one finger salute, and if anyone ever asks me to see my papers, I will say to them in a german or russian accent, da comrade, or yah whol comrade here are my papers.

  5. So lets look at what happens now in Cali. Massive forest fires have devastated huge areas, there is a drought and a water shortage, homeless camps litter the biggest cities with needles and feces, gas is more expensive than in any other state. 50,000 businesses closed their doors forever, mostly small businesses which are the backbone of a solid middle class, which is the backbone of democracy. The state has been plagued by power outages due to money going into greenie weenie bs, Cali has the highest level of poverty, and is lagging in economic recovery after the useless shutdowns for the dempanic.

    Knowing the dhimmis as well as we do, we know what they will not do: competent forest management, including controlled burns, build more dams and reservoirs, build nuclear power plants, reduce regulations on gas and business to stimulate growth, put money into the electrical grid infrastructure, treat the homeless problem for what it is, a drug and alcohol problem, open up areas for building homes to reduce the cost of buying a house.

    What they will do is gloat, lie about taxes (the LA Slimes ran an article saying people in Texas pay more in taxes, lol), tax how many miles you drive, ration your water, give you rolling blackouts, and overall just blame global/cooling/climate/warming/etc bs.

  6. By the way, gloating about the “5th largest economy in the world”, when you have a population of 40 million people, isn’t the own you think it is.

  7. I think if they had must made the recall a straightforward question: “Should Newsom be recalled?” he would have been dumped based on his performance and tone-deafness. The left and the media (ptr) would have pulled out all stops to preserve him, of course, but making it an election for an alternative governor gave them the opportunity to make it all about Larry Elder rather than about Gavin the Feckless.

  9. Troy and the rest, I think I am on Emetic’s side on this. Donald Trump clearly occupies a space inside that melon, and DJT is a wealthy man. He is apparently not paying any rent. I believe that the troll is due some compensation for this, since DJT’s presence is clearly blocking out any rational thought in there.

  10. $50 billion surplus, one of the lowest COVID rates, 5th largest economy. A motivated and progressive Legislature that is in sync with his priorities.

    Newsom did not just survive, he dominated. It’s not so much that Californians love Gavin, but they won’t be bullied by the Trump crowd. Let this be a lesson to Democrats to go on offense on the big issues. Stop apologizing for doing the right things.
