I would be willing to listen to a person who said, “I based my regulation on the best information available but the following new information changed the situation and therefore I have changed the regulation. . . . ”
The problem with the Progressive Response to the Covid Pandemic is we never get the new information, only the new regulation. It’s an endless game of “Simon Says” and I was bored with that by third grade.
There is no “information, Joe Doakes.” The CDC’s masking recommendation is based on fairy dust and moon beams:

The in-depth information from the CDC leaves out the most important information, which is that this super spreader event among the vaccinated has a name: “bear week.” It is a gay festival where gay men get together to have sex with other gay men.
The “Discussion” section of the paper sez:
The findings in this report are subject to at least four limitations. As population-level vaccination coverage increases, vaccinated persons are likely to represent a larger proportion of COVID-19 cases. Second, asymptomatic breakthrough infections might be underrepresented because of detection bias. Third, demographics of cases likely reflect those of attendees at the public gatherings, as events were marketed to adult male participants; further study is underway to identify other population characteristics among cases, such as additional demographic characteristics and underlying health conditions including immunocompromising conditions.*** MA DPH, CDC, and affected jurisdictions are collaborating in this response; MA DPH is conducting additional case investigations, obtaining samples for genomic sequencing, and linking case information with laboratory data and vaccination history. Finally, Ct values obtained with SARS-CoV-2 qualitative RT-PCR diagnostic tests might provide a crude correlation to the amount of virus present in a sample and can also be affected by factors other than viral load.††† Although the assay used in this investigation was not validated to provide quantitative results, there was no significant difference between the Ct values of samples collected from breakthrough cases and the other cases. This might mean that the viral load of vaccinated and unvaccinated persons infected with SARS-CoV-2 is also similar. However, microbiological studies are required to confirm these findings.
Unvaccinated adults put all children under 12 at risk. The 30% of unvaccinated is allowing the virus to mutate and potentially become more vaccine resistant. They’ve walked us backwards into overwhelmed healthcare systems. And increased the overall risk for compromised kids who can’t get vaccinated yet.

Since the Wuhan flu started more children have died from falls, or gunshots, or drowning, or car accidents, or drug overdoses, take your pick, than the 349 children under the age of 18 who died of the Wuhan flu. That’s 349 deaths out of 633,799. For people under the age of 50 the Wuhan flu survival rate is over 99%. What a fool!
