Among The Biggest Advantages…

…that DFL politicians have is that they can say anything, no matter how illogical, preposterous and risible, anything at all , knowing that not only will the media never call them out on it, but that “their” voters, of all races, classes and education levels, having as they do zero critical thinking skills, will gobble it up.

Councilman Philippe Cunningham, in a “Neighborhood Safety Manual”, repeats the assertion from last year that “Klansmen”, complete with robes and pointy hoods, were roaming North Minneapolis during the riots.

Note to non-MSP residents: Klansmen in robes will occur in the Twin Cities about the same time I go on a hot third date with Anna Kendrick.

    People like Cunningham, like to blame anything associated, however remotely, to white people, to cover for their incompetence and stupidity. Just like the Russia collusion zealots, they see KKK members behind every tree…standing next to a Russian.

    As I waited in line at the dry cleaners a couple of Klansmen stood in front of me and picked up their robes. Umbrella Man picked them in his pickup truck. It had a Confederate flag decal on the rear window.

    Last summer when people tried to claim that everyone wandering the streets lived outside of the city, my response was simple. “Look at the video. There’s too damned many people on the streets for there to not be a ton of Minneapolitans out rioting!” I didn’t even need to mention the lack of pre-riot traffic jam getting into the City, or lack of Event Parking entrepreneurs and empty surface lots.

    The FBI is either displaying rank incompetence or that they are a political organization or both.

    As we have learned after other mass shootings, the Syrian Colorado shooter has been on the FBI’s radar for over a year, yet, he gets through their background check to buy his pistol, a week before he went on his jihad and did nothing. I’m sure that they were adhering to Biden’s strategy of “timing”.

    The FBI has adopted the tactics of the KGB, the NSA handles the job of the FSB, the DOJ has morphed into the GRU and the ATF is now the Keystone Cops…no, that is not hyperbole.

    Regarding the attacker in Gotham a few days back, my thought upon watching the video was that I didn’t blame those who didn’t intervene–the guy looked and walked as if he could put on pads and suit up for the Jets. Second thought was that I’m amazed the victim is alive after that kind of assault.

    (got out of prison in 2019 after 17 years in the pokey for killing his mum….we are not talking about a Boy Scout or altar boy here….and looking at his shoulders, I have to wonder whether we the taxpayer paid through the nose to help him develop that physique)

    Pretty darned sad that that a****le didn’t learn that hard way that his victim was armed. Curses on New York City for making that more difficult on people.

    Back to the original subject, it strikes me that what we need, more and more, is people with a working BS detector. KKK members in full regalia in North Minneapolis during a riot? Seriously?

    Knew an agent through a friend’s parents who retired from the FBI in the early-90s. A year or two after he had left we were all playing cards and over the course of conversation the topic came up about extremist groups. He said the joke within the bureau was that at every KKK meeting, over half the attendees were feds. And this was around 25 years ago.

    Kind of makes you wonder how there could be “white supremacist” cells instigating riots by non-whites when the Eye of Sauron is upon them.
    One of the “secret weapons” the allies had against the Nazis, and that the US and NATO had against the USSR is that political ideology competes successfully against competence. When you introduce political ideology as a job metric, incompetence increases.
