Make The Case

I always someone convincing me that Derek Chauvin can get a fair trial in Hennepin County. Really, the entire Twin Cities metro.

The evidence is not encouraging.

Really, did anyone or everyone ever think that he would get a fair trial? Judge Cahill seems to be trying pretty hard to make sure that he does, despite the efforts of our utterly worthless AG, the Minneapolis city clowncil and the media jackals to thwart it.

If I were on the defense team, I’d demand the trial be moved to the The Northwest Angle.
Nothing to loot and burn up there, everyone is armed, noodle armed leftist terrorists would stand out like a rainbow, and according to reprobates, vibrant urban youths don’t have ID and are incapable of getting any, so they can’t cross the border and they don’t swim.

Also, it seems the feckless dimwits running Mpls are just determined to trigger a mistrial.
Yesterday, the MPD Chief said the cops were gonna clear out the “no-go zone” around 38th and Chicago. Mayor small fry could not restrain himself…
Mayor Jacob Frey said in an interview that he is aligned with the chief about the need to evaluate the timeline for reopening the intersection. Before that can happen, Frey said, they must ensure safety for public works staff coming in to remove the barricades as well as figure out a way to memorialize Floyd in an ongoing fashion.
“We want to see some additional infrastructure added that would provide a bump-out at the location where George Floyd was killed, to prevent tires from ever rolling over that sacred ground again,” Frey said.
Small fry, a Jew, declared 38th and Chicago the Temple Mount of the frozen North, cast Fentanyl Floyd as Jesus Christ, and Chauvin et al as the Pharisees.
Which one of the jurors want’s to cast the first stone at Christ???

Progressivism is the corruption of thought. Why else would they seek to memorialize Floyd?
It would be interesting to hear an argument for memorializing Floyd.
He wasn’t a martyr, he did not want to die, and apparently Chauvin did not intend to kill him.
One way to look at things like a Floyd memorial is that is a message. A message has a real origination (physical human beings who fund, design, and construct it), an ideal origination (aka “the good people who want to memorialize Floyd’s . . . struggle? Life? Death?”), an ideal receiver (the people who want to see Floyd honored), and the real consumers (the physical people who demanded it be built, and actually have to deal with its existence).
When you explain, say, the Lincoln memorial in DC using this technique you get interesting, sensible results. When you try to imagine a Floyd memorial this way you get caught in loops of insanity.

Hey Frey boy!
NOW you want to protect the police?! I’m sure that your armored SWAT trucks can run down the barricades and guard shacks. Shock and awe, dude!

The settlement amount is another own-goal from the State, and at this point, expected. It’s like they want a riot over an acquittal or mistrial.
And yes, change of venue to the Northwest Angle.
