I bet a shiny new quarter Cuomo suffers no long-term fallout. As to the governors of states with policies no less apparently cynical and deadly – Massachusetts, New Jersey – who would know ?

Cuomo never was going to go down for killing old people. Even tho’ everyone (that matters) knew he was doing it. He’s going down for various degrees of sexual harassment (which in some cases was none at all) – even tho’ everyone (that matters) knew he was doing it as well. And the latter crimes can be limited to NY leaving the other Democrat governors “free as a bird” (to re-use a quote from another Democrat who killed people). Also! if I’m not mistaken, there some hyper-radical personalities in NY state that have their eye on that governors’s chair; Godfather Cuomo is in the way.

golfdoc is spot on.
There is a very ambitious AG, Leticia James, that wants to move up the political ladder, without paying her dues. Her platform will be that she went after Trump’s criminal activities, ignoring the fact that it was Cyrus Vance Jr. that got the tax records. Funny though. Two days after he got them, he announced that he was resigning for personal reasons.

Gov. Waltz and the Lt (light) Gov Flanagan are quarantining due to contact-tracing. I think they should be put in a nursing home to ride it out.

I can’t come up with a better explanation for what went on than this, really. Oldsters cost a lot in Medicare, and they tend to be more conservative. Hence Democratic governors tended to send COVID patients to nursing homes.
Hopefully Cuomo, as well as Walz and Whitmer and a bunch of others, pay a heavy price for this.
