And Just Like Magic

After a year of hysteria, of gaslighting, of “Karen” nagging you from behind four masks, of plush-bottom public union employees telling unemployed waitresses “we’re all in this together” via Zoom from their ranch houses in Apple Valley, suddenly, after one barely coherent speech in the wake of the signing of an immense power grab disguised as a pork barrel bill…

…everything is OK?

So let’s get this straight – after a year of dictatorial control, now Minnesota is “ready?

And “we” are “ready” after a near majority have re-opened, without their governors publicly rolling around in the glory and majesty of their own omnipotence like Scrooge McDuck cavorting about in a vault full of quarters?

Yes. Yes, they are. Suddenly, “hope” is acceptable. Quadruple-masking? Scary new variants?

Pish-tush! The only thing to fear is fear itself! Happy Days Are Here Again!

The House majority leader, as if on cue:

And finally, Ryan Winkler tells (the second cousin of) the truth. While the pandemic was and remains real, the Minnesota government’s response has been entirely contrived to sway the election, and to give the political class a “big win” (they’ll let the media handle that for them) to use to evangelize transforming society into Big Left’s vision.

  1. I missed Biden’s speech last evening, did he talk about low-flow toilets or injecting bleach? What about the stability of his geniusry?

  2. I didn’t see the doddering old pedophile, either.

Wonder if he explained why he is encouraging foreign nationals to invade the US illegally, spread bat flu and clog our hospitals. Wonder if he explained the genius behind ordering the Border Patrol to assist them in doing that.

Wonder if he gave an indication as to just how many Americans must die to satiate his insane hatred for America.

  3. All is proceeding as foretold. I’m just pissed they didn’t use my script, it was much better. Maybe Biden will have someone read it for him.

  4. Your local reprobates are hoping the BS coming from DC will make people forget the disaster they allowed to unfold last year. Confidence is high; they’ve learned that free stuff is effective in keeping low the IQ population happy, and from early reports, many dimwits are cheering the delivery of borrowed money; shipments of Air Jordan sneakers are reportedly en-route to major cities across the country to meet the expected demand.

Maybe they’ll plant climbing vines on all the razor wire fences and barriers, and declare the riots are a country fair and the Twin Cities a new Eden.

  5. “Η δημοκρατία οδηγεί σε αναρχία, που είναι κανόνας όχλου”
Democracy leads to anarchy, which is mob rule

    ~ Plato

At length they seize upon the citadel of the young man’s soul, and then modesty, which they call silliness, is ignominiously thrust into exile by them, and temperance, which they nickname unmanliness, is trampled in the mire and cast forth; they persuade men that moderation and orderly expenditure are vulgarity and meanness, and so, by the help of a rabble of evil appetites, they drive them beyond the border.

The next thing is to bring back to their house insolence and anarchy and waste and impudence in bright array having garlands on their heads, and a great company with them, hymning their praises and calling them by sweet names; insolence they term breeding, and anarchy liberty, and waste magnificence, and impudence courage. And so the young man passes out of his original nature, which was trained in the school of necessity, into the freedom and libertinism of useless and unnecessary pleasures….

When a democracy which is thirsting for freedom has evil cup-bearers presiding over the feast, and has drunk too deeply of the strong wine of freedom, then, unless her rulers are very amenable and give a plentiful draught, she calls them to account and punishes them, and says that they are cursed oligarchs.

  6. Osterholm: B117 COVID strain could become major issue in 6-8 weeks
The B117 variant is believed to be more easily transmitted.
    Joe Nelson
    Jan 15, 2021

Osterholm is the guy who signed off on all of those horribly flawed UM covid models that have never been audited, and which led to dictator-for-life Walz’s lockdown regime.
There were 1,600 positive covid cases on January 15, the day that Osterholm said this.
Yesterday there were less than one thousand.
Minnesota’s reaction to covid is being directed by frauds and fools.

  7. Well, Pedo Joe’s signing of a historic pay back to his political cronies, is OK with losers like Emery, as long as he gets a gubmint check. Even though 76% of that monstrosity is not doing a damn thing for ChiCom flu relief, because it’s going to mass murderers, white supremacists, fellow pedophiles and sex offenders and the rest of us get an additional tax burden of $17,600 each to pay for it. It also looks like we’ll be doing it partially from taxes on our retirement accounts, especially 401k plans.

How do you like THAT return on your investment, Emery?!

  8. Did you say that when Trump signed the 2017 tax relief bill in which $1.5 trillion was borrowed to pay for the tax cuts when the economy was heating up?

Re: ROI — I’m enjoying my VTWO Vanguard Russell 2000 Index Fund returns.

  9. A virologist on the WHO team which investigated the origins of Covid in Wuhan, Marion Koopmans, has said that while it is true that several workers at the Wuhan Institute if Virology came down with a severre flu-like symptoms back in November, they did not have covid.
We know this because the Chinese government assured Koopmans that the sick workers tested negative for covid.
Koopmans, and WHO, did not confirm this. They did not test or even interview the ill workers.
Koopmans’, and WHO’s, curiosity about the illness of the Chinese bat flu researchers in Wuhan back in November ended at exactly that point.
So, what with Biden and his pro-CCP crew in charge of US foreign policy, you can get ready for the next wave of the CCP’s weaponizing pandemics in the near future.

  10. Re: ROI — I’m enjoying my VTWO Vanguard Russell 2000 Index Fund returns.

PotAto HeAD has barfed so many lies up in here, he can’t keep them straight.

The Vanguard Russell 2000 ETF (VTWO) is a very high risk portfolio. it’s been doing pretty good lately, which is why Tater picked it to lie about.

What was it that Tater said, just 1 short year ago? Oh, yeah…

Emery on March 6, 2020 at 6:23 am said:
^^ +31.4% in 2019 (thank you Vanguard VFIAX). My REIT fund (VGSLX) has been positive in 2019 as well. I took those profits in early January as I XC ski in the UP for 6 weeks to prepare for the Birkie.

Emery on March 20, 2020 at 4:59 pm said:
Woolly: I rolled my VFIAX into BND a month before (late January). It could hardly have been ‘insider’ trading a full month after I did it by connecting the dots by reading a few publicly available CDC reports.
Many of us saw the storm clouds and failed to sell. Many of us wish we had done more to prepare. These selling decisions do not qualify as insider trading. But the optics are awful.

Emery on March 7, 2020 at 6:15 am said:
Woolly, didn’t you once claim to be retiring to Wisconsin soon?
As I mentioned earlier, with only two years until retirement — my goal is preserving my retirement funds rather than taking risks to grow them.

So, now with only 1 year to go before retiring to his Chalet on the BiRKie, this fool throws caution to the wind, takes the massive PrOFitz he made from rolling his funds over *in the nick of time* last year, and once again rolls them over, this time into a high risk portfolio…just in time to ride a wave. Just connecting them dots, right PotAto HeAD??

But this financial genius also said:

Emery on March 10, 2020 at 12:57 pm said:
Stocks are up as Trump promises to cut more taxes and add to $23 Trillion debt.
These efforts only help a fake pull up for a short period. The market will continue to go down as the actual supply chains, tourism, transportation and services industries are collapsing until the vaccine is found.

LMFAO! PotAto HeAD has got to be the most brazen, and worst reprobate liar in SiTD comment thread history…what an idiot!!

    tia PotAto HeAD!!

  11. I don’t get it, pig. Lying seems to be almost inherent with reprobates. All the reprobates that have trolled these pages with the exception of AC, have been virulent, unrepentant liars. It’s got to be part of the mental illness.

Can you imagine what dealing with these characters must be like irl?

  12. MO,loved the bit about the Wuhan lab. Translated; we’re not going to give you access to any of the data, but you can trust that the same government that killed north of 60 million of its own people during its cultural revolution is telling you the truth.

  13. Dr Pete
    Доверяй, но проверяй,
whenever I deal with reprobates I keep in mind that they rely exclusively on “received wisdom” not personally developed wisdom, so I always make it a point to verify whatever they say. With rare exceptions that means I will know more actual factual information than them and as a result I will know when they are lying. As Emery poignantly illustrates, they are always operating at a disadvantage, which IRL means I always take advantage of them. After all why wouldn’t you? If I had to do business with Emery i would treat him as a Mark not as a valued customer. It is after all what they intend towards us “deplorables”.

  14. Translated; we’re not going to give you access to any of the data, but you can trust that the same government

Hmmm… sounds like the Mann hockey stick raw data conundrum. It is like the libturds only have one playbook. But hey, if it works EVERY TIME, why change it, right?

  15. imagine you are one of the business reps invited to a Walz business confab. He explains to you his plan to gradually ‘dial open’ Minnesota retail and social sectors of the economy as the plague of covid recedes, thanks to his fabulous management of the crisis.
Applause! Words of congratulations and encouragement!
And then the meetings at corporate HQ that follow. “Got to get out of Minnesota, the governor is crazy about covid, no future for us here, I am thinking Florida or Texas.”
