Digging In

A friend of the blog emails:

As you can see you today more fencing and wire went up around the 4th Precinct in North Minneapolis.

Many traffic barriers are also set internal inside the fence in the police parking lot.

So where will all the rioters go?

It’s a rhetorical question.

UPDATE: Compare and contrast with when this shot was first taken, a couple weeks ago:

  1. Oh, and by the way, on a related note, Robert Barnes tweets “Anyone who doubts cancel culture (and its corollary methods of intimidation, including defamation, doxxing & rioting) should watch the jury selection in the #ChauvinTrial — juror after juror admits fear an acquittal will put them in personal danger“.

  2. The defense has a perfect argument for a change of venue. The comments of these jurors, regarding potential retaliation by the woke mob, is akin to the intimidation and murders of witnesses testifying at mob trials.

I say move the trial to International Falls and find out who funds any buses that are chartered to bring the mobs up there. My bet is that about 60% of the protesters will bow out, because it will involve more effort and expense to get there.

yes everyone, even the judge seems to be clueless about the downstream effects of participating on this jury. It is not a stretch of the imagination that 2 or 3 years down the road one of those jurors will apply for a job somewhere and get interviewed by a woke HR stooge who asks about the applicant’s vote to acquit just before they are informed that this is not the job for them. Or worse one day shortly after the names are released they lose their current job.
If I were in the working world in that city I’d tell the judge that I’d already made up my mind to vote to convict because it would protect me and my family.

  4. Any experts in jury nullification out there? Judging from the attitude of some of the excused jurors, wouldn’t surprise me if one or more sit on their prejudices and serve. Later they won’t be able to resist bragging about it. Is that sufficient to throw out a conviction?

  5. JDM – yes, the 2nd precinct in NE has inner and outer fencing with razor wire between. I’m glad to see razor wire use being legal – I’ll be getting mine set up.

  6. ngl, I don’t find the sight of the cops barricaded against the public half as disturbing as perhaps I should, but it’s not half as satisfying as the sight of politicians hiding behind wire.

  7. smh, in the reprobates America, having a couple rolls of razor wire in the shed isn’t a bad idea at all. A guy can drag that shit out in a flash and it’s a lot harder to get it out of the way than it is to put it in place.

    It ain’t cheap though.

  8. Later they won’t be able to resist bragging about it. Is that sufficient to throw out a conviction?

Could be wrong here doc, but I think there is precedent for that. Maybe a law talking dude could weigh in.

  9. Consider, if you will.

Our nations capital, and the capital of Minnesota are swathed in ribbons of razor wire to keep American citizens out.

Our Southern Border has been thrown wide, and I mean wide open to invasion by foreign nationals intent on being supported by the taxpayers of America.

The President of the US says American citizens MUST wear diapers on their faces, and criticizes governors who have restored freedom of movement in their states.

That same President refuses to discuss the fact that 25% of the same foreign nationals he’s invited to invade out country are infected with Covid19…he has mandated they be given free passage and transportation to the nearest city and released into the population.

    This is fine.

  10. C/mon Dr.PS, you are in the BEST of hands! The adults are in the WH, dontcha know?

The Biden White House announced on Monday, which happened to be International Women’s Day, that the US military is focusing on “maternity flight suits” for pregnant women. Because it’s important that pregnant women are able to drop into enemy territory during wartime. Biden made the statement right before he forgot where the hell he was and the name of the general standing behind him.

  11. Funny that razor wire is being set up to protect from rioting by the left. And yet, every… time… any gatherings by the leftist mobs had been mostly peaceful™. Complete dissonance and doublespeak. Sorta like, if masks work, why lockdowns and restrictions?

  12. jpa – it’s the newest strategy. You’ve heard of 4G war? Call this 5G war.

You parachute in a slew of pregnent women who give birth inside the invaded nation. Their anchor babies are citizens so all the Mommies get to stay and the whole rest of the clan gets to join them as ‘family reunification.’ They all apply for welfare and bleed the host country for every dime they can get, which reduces the funding available for national defense.

Within a generation or two, the population of the host will be minorities in their own nation and the invaders will rule without ever firing a shot.

This is the kind of inspired leadership I’ve come to expect from the Harris administration.

  13. The high G turns and acceleration, and increased radiation will ensure the offspring of those combat pilot mommies are reliable Democrat voters.

It’s all going according to plan.

    This is fine.

  14. Meantime, welcome to the friendly skies. Science™

The whistleblower told Berenson that the FAA issued a guidance about a month ago requiring controllers to “wear masks at all times” while at work and in position, and warned that the directive could have devastating consequences for airline passengers and pilots.

“For context, our headsets use a boom microphone that adjusts to fit somewhere an inch or two away from our face. It has created an issue where we get a lot more read-back errors from pilots on instructions because they can’t hear us clearly over the radio,” he explained.

  15. Joe D – 5G warfare is already a thing. Along those lines, reading Unrestricted Warfare gives a lot of backstory to what we’ve been seeing this year.

Dr PS – just remember some thick leather gloves when working with it. I recall seeing an (M1 not Stacey) Abrams tank immobilized from 5 strands of c-wire. Pity the crew that got to try and get it out of the tracks.

  16. ngl, I don’t find the sight of the cops barricaded against the public half as disturbing as perhaps I should, but it’s not half as satisfying as the sight of politicians hiding behind wire.

It would be even better if the doors were locked from the outside.

  17. BB, an interesting factoid about Estonia (subject about which Mitch knows nothing about), in medieval Tallinn, gates to the upper city where nobles lived were indeed locked from the outside.

  18. Oh, this just in.

In his further efforts to strengthen America’s military, Pedo Joe has just made, via Executive order naturally, tuck and roll jobs and breast removal and addadicktomies available gratis, for military personnel who enjoy genital mutilation.

    This is fine.

  19. In all seriousness, Trump never removed all of the feckless assholes that Obama put in command positions. We have a military that is run by people put in leadership roles because they have pledged themselves willing to fulfill leftist socio-political agendas.

I wouldn’t serve under any of these anal swabs.

  20. As if, by Divine direction, along comes…

Troubling new gap’ based on gender, race and politics growing among military officers, study warns

“The military needs to act to stop a divide from growing in the officer ranks, where white conservative men are more likely than others to feel pride in service and that the military culture is superior to civil society, a study has found.

“Military elites’ feelings of superiority over the rest of society are more prevalent among conservatives, Republicans, whites, and men … than among liberals, Democrats, women, and African Americans,” said the study published in the spring issue of the Texas National Security Review.

Just under a quarter of the 1,281 U.S. Military Academy cadets and active-duty military officers polled for the study between December 2017 and March of last year said they felt a sense of exceptionalism, while 43% said they did not and the rest had no opinion.

The biggest gaps were along political lines, with roughly 15% of Democrats saying military culture was superior compared with around 31% of Republicans.

The difference between Blacks and whites on that question was also large, at 14% and 27% respectively, and women were seven percentage points less likely than men to say the military is better than civil society.

Previous research has shown that a conservative mindset predominates in the military, and that service members’ political leanings can affect their military experience and attitude.”

What they’re describing is something I knew as “Esprit de Corps” during my time in uniform. In the current year, it’s yes, more white man racism.

Keep in mind, a healthy percentage of the black cohort attending elite military colleges got there because they are black, not because they were in any way fit to lead.

Come to think of it, a good ass whipping may be just what the doctor ordered for us.

  21. JPA: love it. Bring it on! (and bring on the torches and pitchforks…..)

Regarding military things, agreed. Apart from mental and physical fitness for duty, along with unit cohesion, it seems that the military is ignoring “supply chain difficulties” as a reason to exclude certain people from service.

Yes, supply chain difficulties. Historically, your unit supply chain with be food (with some provision for kosher/halal), ammunition, spare clothing, and a few spare weapons. We are not talking about the Wal-Mart supply chain, where the people at the store find out what Bentonville shipped when they open the truck. No, it was a fairly standard shipment, and if you got a little too much of one thing, you traded with another unit and it was fine.

Now imagine a portion of your soldiers need hormone therapy (dilators, etc..) to continue the notion that one is X or Y sex. Now you’ve got to go to the Wal-Mart model, where precisely the right amount must be delivered, even in a war zone, and nobody wants to trade for a vial of estrogen or a dilator.

Now imagine that the poor guy in supply chain is stressing out over “trans” supplies and doesn’t have time to get “non-critical” supplies like “ammunition” onto the pallet. Yeah, we could be talking about some very serious issues here.

Just about as serious, really, as the condition of a pregnant fighter pilot and her child who have to bail out (in her new flight suit for pregnant women) over enemy territory. For those not “in the know”, the goal with ejection is to get out of the plane alive, but the pilot (and any children in her) is often very seriously injured by the process. Sheer idiocy on the part of the DOD.

  22. I simply cannot wait until some muzzy or Chinese slag captures the first tranny soldier….the mind boggles.
