I Heard It On The NARN

Doug Willletts is running for MN Senate in SD51 against Sandy Masin.

John Lott’s Newsweek article and RCP piece. Here’s the Crime Prevention Research Center.

And Diane Napper is running for the MN State Senate in SD63 against Patricia Torres Ray.

By the way, I specifically and explicitly offer equal time – let’s call it a “challenge to take the equal time” – to Senators Torres Ray and Masin.

  1. Your hate is being rejected (yet again) here in Minnesota. I drove through Minnetonka yesterday and I saw a number of Biden signs, which is unusual, but even more, while I saw a sign for Kendall Qualls, and a sign here or there opposing Ranked Choice voting, I saw NOT ONE sign for Trump. Likewise, in my lilly-white, reasonably affluent section of Bloomington, I see ZERO signs for Trump. While yard signs aren’t really a predictor of who will win or lose an election, they show enthusiasm and what I see is the MN GOP recognizes how toxic Trump is, how toxic he has become to local candidates here in MN, and so have asked their boot-lickers to NOT put up signs in these purple areas and so avoid associating anti-government anarchists like Ken Qualls (and similar MN pols whom you support),with the cyanide pill which is Trump’s Presidency and candidacy. I have never, in 36 years watching politics in MN, failed to see even one sign for the Republican candidate in areas like Minnetonka or Bloomington. Trump is down 10% here and very likely he’s going to drag the MN GOP down with him (and God willing, the US Senate). So, just like in Kansas, and just like across the nation, your hate fails everywhere, once the outcome of that hate becomes apparent.

  2. Yea, Paddywhacker, your lily white racist section. You racists will stick with your party line and vote for a rich, white trust fund baby, Dean Phillips, that can’t even fart without getting permission from his overlords, rather than Kendall Qualls, a black man. Despite her virtue signaling by adding her Hispanic maiden name to her campaign signs this cycle, I at least give Melisa Franzen credit for showing up to meetings at the capitol, while the majority of your worthless buddies cower in their basements. That includes the brain dead waste of space, Steve Elkins.

Yup, nice projection there. You Socialists are the most insidious racists and anti-semites, because you do it from your closets!

  3. Pad,

I drove through Minnetonka yesterday and I saw a number of Biden signs, which is unusual,

Hardly. Minnetonka is full of Minneapolis refugees who brought the politics that is destroying Minneapolis with them.

  4. I saw NOT ONE sign for Trump. Likewise, in my lilly-white, reasonably affluent section of Bloomington, I see ZERO signs for Trump.

You know where else you’ll see “ZERO” signs for Trump? Or any Republican?

Pretty much anywhere in the metro!

In 25 years in my house, the longest any GOP lawn sign has ever lasted was six days. The half-life is usually overnight. Local Democrats say its’ just those nutty college kids, but my neighbors’ DFL signs remain untouched, and there’s been plenty of evidence it’s DFL-organized.

There is one exception, though. Alexander Buster Deputie signs out on the East Side seem to be staying up.

Y’know – a Liberian immigrant and self-made businessman with seven kids and a story to tell, running for Senate in the district where the DFL House candidate is (since you bring up “hate” so often) threatening to burn the suburbs down.

    I’m hoping that’s significant.

  5. they show enthusiasm and what I see is the MN GOP recognizes how toxic Trump is,

On Saturday, a couple hundred cars with Trump flags held an impromptu parade on 494. Trump rallies are jammed from coast to coast, while Biden “rallies” look like book club meetings.

Like signs, neither of those are necessarily dispositive.

But the GOP is very likely to take the 7th CD, and expand their lead in the once solidly-blue 8th CD (the Iron Range, formerly “Farmer Labor Party” borderline-communist turf) and there’s some sign that Trump has made major inroads in the Black and Latino vote.

We’ll see in a couple weeks.

  6. anti-government anarchists like Ken Qualls

    Gaslighting highlighted, mocked, rejected.

  7. So, just like in Kansas,

What’s you people’s fixation with Kansas? It was a Republican state that cut taxes and didn’t control spending – a big violation of conservative doctrine.

You people never mention North Carolina, Florida, the Dakotas, Ohio, Texas, Idaho, Utah – states that have done the hard work that real conservatism takes, and are unambiguously successful pretty much across the board.

    Why is that?

  8. Finally, Pen,

your hate fails everywhere, once the outcome of that hate becomes apparent.

Pen, you’re an old friend. You truly are.

And I owe you a drink or two, which I look forward to you collecting on someday soon.

But stop referring to “my” “hate”.

Neither I nor my movement have any. That’s gaslighting. I’d like to think we’re all better than that.

  9. Like fish in a barrel.

An Arizona FOX 10 reporter was stunned this past week when NO ONE came out to see Joe Biden AND Kamala Harris outside the Heard Museum in Phoenix. No one was holding signs on the road. No one was outside of their venue to greet them.

  10. jpa,

I heard that reporter trying to fill two minutes of air time and couldn’t stop laughing. At least she was forced(?) to be honest about how the only people in attendance were part of Biden’s campaign.

  11. Mitch, you made a great observation re: campaign signs. Even in my Bloomington neighborhood, Jason Lewis,Trump and Joe Thalman’s signs are being vandalized, but like Deputie’s, Kendall Qualls signs are untouched. And, by the way, I’m seeing a lot of them.
