Dear Virtue-signaling Political Demigogues And White “Progressives”

When the Irish underclass in New York City – themselves indentured servants, or descended from them – brutalized black slaves and freedmen…

When the serfs of Russian Eastern Europe, themselves slaves in all but name, terrorized and murdered their Jewish neighbors…

When the “white trash” of the deep south and all over the country – a pretty hopeless underclass even before the Civil War – joined the Klan…

When Germans decided that “subhumans” – Gypsies, Gays, the disabled, Slavs, and of course Jews – were a useful kick toy to exorcise their anger after the miseries of World War 1, Versailles and back-to-back economic collapses…

When people in Los Angeles took our their rage at a catastrophically unjust system on…themselves…

…in no case did they get any more justice, more freedom, more prosperity, more equality. Just the opposite, in fact. “Passing injustice on to others to get more justice for oneself” is batting .000 through all of history. At best it’s a record of horror and misery; at worst, it consolidates power in the hands of those who benefit from horror and misery (see “demigogues”).

Freedom, justice and equality aren’t like toilet paper aisles, with a finite supply to be doled out, or fought over, with haves and have nots. They are a store that can be – needs to be – continually added onto.

Anger is justified. It can be a powerful motivator. And one thinks you, pliural, would have figured this out after 2016, where leading with hatred and oppression got answered with people reacting to being hated and oppressed, to vote for a president you all find hateful and oppressive…

…are you seeing a pattern here, yet?

For those of you in the “Urban Progressive Privilege” set who are trying to spread the injustice around, rather than eliminate it? You think you’re helping?

See the list above.

  1. Voting at the local level is the best thing to get any change. Of course, it’s more difficult when there is little choice. Also, getting involved at the local level opposing some of the stupid focus- city controlled trash, bike lanes, trains in the middle of busy corridors, stadiums, etc. Why isn’t anyone asking “hey, why didn’t we focus more on corruption in the police department instead of building more bike lanes?” Probably because the same people who want all those extraneous taxpayer funded things are also perfectly happy keeping POC down and under control.

  2. And when the few middle-class whites remaining in Minneapolis & Saint Paul move to the suburbs be cause they do not want to live in a war zone, they will be accused of racism. Count on it.
The natural reaction to civil unrest is to move away from it, not “fix the problem.” Even liberal whites in the Twin cities live in compounds separated from life on the streets. If they have kids, they do not send them to public schools.

  3. Even the minorities in the Minneapolis Public School system don’t want to send their kids to the MSPS schools; they’ve been open-enrolling them into other districts at such a rate that the district has had enrollment declines for, IIRC, three consecutive years, further deepening the deficit in the system that already sucks the most funding from the State each year. (The solution, of course, is now to spend another $11 million to make the schools look more welcoming and friendly.)

  4. Speaking of virtue signaling, what will all the lefty slobs do this month? June is sodomy pride month. Do the change their icons to support Negro looting or buttseks?

I hope teh little Peevee can clarify the pecking order for us.

  5. Wonder who to blame for the state of things today? It’s been 52 years since the 1968 riots after MLK was assassinated and Mpls has been under control of Democrats virtually the entire time, funny how things seems only to have gotten worse over the many years.

  9. So much of this is just asking police officers whom have been given the power to wield violence on behalf of the state to have the personal responsibility of your average human.

  10. “Floyd’s funeral is set for 1 p.m. Thursday at North Central University in Minneapolis, where Sharpton will deliver the eulogy. Sharpton told reporters they would focus on the “human side of who Floyd was,” as well as “challenge this country” to start a movement for sweeping changes to law enforcement and policing.
“Otherwise they will say we had nice rallies, some of us went to jail, some of us did other things, but nothing changed,” Sharpton said. “It’s not about piecemeal policy here.”

Some people did some things…like looting, shooting, aggravated assault, arson…just stuff.

But hey, Sharpton and his fellow grifters have a point. We’ve had enough; I endorse a sea change, too. Since we all acknowledge that cops inherently hate all colored people, but most especially Negroes, we need to keep them separated as much as possible.

I suggest we make neighborhoods with majority Negro populations cop free sanctuaries, places where folks can live in peace and harmony among themselves without the corrosive, hate filled presence of police.

As if “the state” is a nameless, faceless entity.

In Minneapolis, the state has names and faces. Listed below are the people who control the police budget, recruitment, training, discipline, hiring and firing.

It is they who approved the Police Union Contract.

Here are their names, districts and party affiliations. You can find their faces on the city’s web page.

  12. I see that Keith “ACAB” Ellison has upgraded the charges against Chauvin to 2nd degree murder and arrested and charged the three others with aiding and abetting a murder.

JD can correct me if I’m wrong, but as I understand it, ACAB Ellison must now prove that in addition to committing an act he knew or should have known would result in an unjustifiable death, Chauvin was committing a felony according to MN law, when he took the counterfeiting suspect into custody or when he and his fellow LEO suspects took the counterfeiter to the ground.

We haven’t seen the recordings from body cams yet (and why isn’t the social justice community demanding they be released?), and the fake media has scrupulously avoided mention that Floyd was under the influence of opiates and methamphetimine. But hey, it’s entirely possible that the cops were just overcome with racist hate and threw Floyd to the ground as he was meekly getting into the squad.

It’s also entirely possible that ACAB Ellison is a master prosecutor, and he’s got this.

The trials won’t happen until next year. I think there is zero chance any of those cops will “cop” a plea. Personally, I see one of two things happening.

    A) They convict the cops, who immediately appeal to Federal court.

    B) They acquit the cops and the riots start again.

Irrespective of what happens in criminal court, Floyd’s baby mamma and his brother are sure to sue the city of Mpls (it will be very interesting to see if his white “fiance” tries to get into the payout as well). It’s also likely that Drumpf will order Barr to initiate a Fed civil rights violation beef, which is a different critter altogether.

  13. It’s completely predictable, and incredibly disgusting, that the MN and Mpls DFL will be holding a political rally under the guise of a memorial service.
The differences between this and the Wellstone Memorial Debacle is that 99% of the participants knew of George Floyd two weeks ago, and Floyd isn’t on the ballot next week.

  14. It’s completely predictable, and incredibly disgusting, that the MN and Mpls DFL will be holding a political rally under the guise of a memorial service.

IIRC, this has been tried before.

Maybe impassioned, tearful pleas to “do it for Floyd!” will work better than “Do it for Paul”…after all, for all his virtue, Wellstone was still white.
