I Feel A Disturbance In The Force
By Mitch Berg
Lying in bed, writing a post for this afternoon, listening to the KQ morning show…
…and they play this (the studio version, anyway):
I didn’t know they had anything from Darkness other than “Badlands”.
But hey, wotta way to start the day.

KQ is doing their annual “A to Z” event, playing every song in their music library in alphabetical order. But it always seems to me that there are many songs that they rarely play except for when they do the A to Z.

They do A to Z because it is the slow time of the advertising year. Normally, no one would listen to all of that.

The irony is, I probably listen to KQRS more at this time of year than any other precisely because they are doing A to Z. You actually hear something other than “Kashmir,” “What’s Your Name,” “Don’t Stop Believing” and “Long Train Running” when they do this. Otherwise it’s that same 700-song playlist over and over and over….

Which is one reason I haven’t listened to KQ for years. That and Tom Bernards is an insufferable a$$hole.
