Accentuating The Obvious

Reporter tries to exercise Big Media’s shibboleth – that it’s easier to buy a gun than get a library book.
Finds out it just ain’t so.
To be fair, the woman did a fairly honest job reporting the story.
To be honest, the notion that she thought guns were a gimme at a Walmart tells us something at little depressing about the gullibility and prejudice of Big Media.

But I have been assured by virtually every op-ed writer in America that any American, at any time, for any reason, can go to any gun store and instantly buy any gun he or she wants.

She went to Walmart? Heck, I always buy my guns at the drive-thru window, where the kid asks, “Do you want to supersize the magazine with that?”

The article was disappointing, because she didn’t address the difficulty in buying a gun, she wrote about the difficulty of being an adult.
Her first attempt to buy a gun was thwarted because Walmart doesn’t advertise online which stores have them. That was a nearly insurmountable obstacle for a person raised with her nose glued to her phone. She had to actually GO there. Imagine!
When she finally found a store that sold them, she was denied because she had failed to update her address on her driver’s license. Another insurmountable hurdle, having a valid ID. Too onerous. I bet they let her vote, though.
I keep saying Conservatives have no objection to law-abiding sane adults owning guns. May have to re-think my definition of “adult.” She clearly doesn’t fit.
