Normally, I don’t like remakes of movies, but, it’s always good to reinforce the messages that lie within them, if you know what I mean. 😀

If it pisses off the SJW community, that’s all the more reason to support it.

Fantasy is alive and well on SiTD. Carry on.

Do us a solid and explain that remark, Emery.

I’ve never seen any of the original Death Wish films but I may rectify that before seeing this one in November.
BTW: if you want to see good films of a similar genre, Michael Caine was fantastic in Harry Brown and I also recently watched John Doe: Vigilante starring Jamie Bamber.

Boss, I’m with you on remakes but one of my favorites both the original and the remake was “True Grit”. John Wayne and Jeff Bridges were terrific. I’m thinking Bruce Willis in the role might prove to do justice to the earlier work of Charles Bronson.
Emery, “Fantasy is alive and well on SiTD” I think that applies perfectly with your TDS. “Carry on”.

Scott, people realize that movies are escapist fantasy. TDS sufferers like Emery are actually living the fantasy.

Bruce Willis in a remake of Death Wish? Dealing with Chicago’s crime problem? This is going to be a blockbuster. I doubt that Bruce would have been involved in a turkey of a remake. Blockbuster.

Dealing with Chicago’s crime problem?
So you mean this will be a documentary?

Bertie: Your post is an upgrade over the Heimlich maneuver in terms of forcibly ejecting projectiles from their chops…Thanks for the laugh.

So you mean this will be a documentary?
If only. Probably more likely that it will lead to more scrutiny of white guys wearing hoodies.
Big downside of this movie is that AC/DC is providing music–they’ve had some bombs, if I remember right.

Another movie in this genre from 2014, was The Equalizer, with Denzel Washington in the lead role. It was a little more violent version of the 90s TV series of the same name. I did enjoy it, mainly because I like Denzel.
Emery fits the saying’ “Men who object to violence, are usually protected by men who don’t”.

If Willis’ character was a Transsexual and was avenging the death of his/her gay partner you would be screaming Oscar.

Emery, are you channeling?

No, he’s trolling.
Don’t feed the trolls.
