Back To The Past

Joe Doakes from Como Park emails:

A Seattle councilman says cleaning human urine and feces off the sidewalk outside the courthouse is . . . wait for it . . . racist.

The technological advance that enabled people to live in cities without rampant disease was the sanitary sewer, invented 4,000 years ago.  If Seattle can’t even manage to maintain the basic level of sanitation achieved before the Bronze Age, our civilization is doomed.

Joe Doakes

So many “progressives” want to return to the Bronze Age – provided they’re the aristocracy.  And they will be.

  1. He was Woke during a cultural exchange mission in Seattle’s sister city, Mogadishu.

  2. In front of the courthouse? Holy cow patties!

Yesterday I left work and less than two blocks away I spotted a urine-filled condom on the sidewalk. This block is on the edge of a rough neighborhood so nothing like that surprises me.

And yet, somehow it makes Pittsburgh classier than Seattle because our sidewalk defilers use a receptacle and tie it up before tossing it on the public walkway. What a world.

  3. I keep thinking some comment should be made as to that is not what a condom is for.

  4. Dave, Pennsylvania is a beautiful state. Mountains, forests, rolling hills…beautiful. But it seems that when any city gets beyond a population of 30,000, it self destructs into a festering sewer…Philly, my God; some of the even Harrisburg which is a short drive from of the prettiest little towns in the country.

    I can’t explain it.

..wait, yes I can….the rise to power of reprobate Democrat Mayors and the corresponding inrush of losers, moochers and wards of the state necessary to keep them in power.

  5. You know, if cleaning sewage off the streets is racist, that is functionally equivalent to saying that the only way to have a functional society is white supremacy, really.

I personally have more hope for minorities than that, and shame on those racists in Seattle for saying that.
