Open Letter To Kathy Griffin

To:  Kathy Griffin, Comedian-Turned-Not-Very-Intelligent Political Satirist
From:  Mitch Berg, Peasant
Re:  I Don’t Think That Word Means What You Think It Means

Ms. Griffin,

I say this as someone who actually used to enjoy your standup routine, until you decided you had to be Culturally Important.  Please take it in the spirit intended.

You are not being “bullied”.   The people you (and people like you, including your former employers and most of your fellow A-through-D-list “entertainment” figures) have been bullying punched you back.

Like most bullies (cultural or physical), you don’t like it.

Waaah, waaah, waaah.  There.  That’s my sympathy for you, like all bullies.

That is all.

(P.S. to those of you who call yourselves “the Resistance” to Trump:   While you are a demographic minority, you have vast, disproportionate control over this culture’s news, entertainment, culture, style, and national conversation.  You were the occupiers; the Trump voters were “the resistance”).

  1. Read elsewhere: Hillary saying she part of the resistance is like Darth Vader renaming the deathstar “rebel base’.

  2. “I don’t think I will have a career after this. I’m going to be honest, he broke me. He broke me. He broke me.”

No, dimwit, you broke yourself. You broke all sorts of boundaries that any normal person above the age of 7 would recognize (age 32 for Leftists) and in doing so you’ve broken your career.

But hey, immortality of your name can be achieved by exceptional talent and achievement or incredible career suicide. I believe she’s made her name immortal in the Hall of Tasteless Jokes.

  3. I can almost excuse her in a profession where screaming the “f” bomb has become supposedly an adequate substitute for creativity and humor, but really this is just one step better than trying to rework “The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” as a romantic comedy or something. Hopefully it buries not only her career, but also her ally Al Franken’s.

  4. Kathy Griffin has guaranteed her legacy as a retail associate. Too bad. So much promise, but she just couldn’t keep her opinion private, could she?
    .

  5. You can always tell when a comedian has lost their mojo. They feel the need to be edgier and most of the time they drive over the cliff. Ms. Griffin has done this a couple of times and instead of trying to painstakingly climb back up…she figures she wasn’t going fast enough and puts the accelerator to the floor again.

  6. Nitwit, reprobates like Griffin take all the joy out of watching crushed leftists grovel at my feet. Sheer stupidity brings the thrill of victory down to the level of pulling the wings off flies.

It’s why I dont even deign to mock Dunning_Kruger any more.

  7. Kathy Griffin just held a press conference to announce that Donald Trump “broke her.” No word yet on whether he left cab fare for her on the nightstand.

  8. She had to take a shot at the First Lady too for defending the kid. Well f… that. I love Melania Trump so far. I have never cared about this type of thing ever, before.

  9. TFS: you never know if this was a risk, as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar earned something like $40 million (in 1970s and 1980s dollars) in the NBA and ended up broke.

I am guessing that she is going to regret picking on Melania.
