Trivia Contest

The more I write this blog, the more I realize how prescient Berg’s Seventh Law is.

Remember when the left had their intestines tied in a knot over people open-carrying guns?

Then Trump got elected – and the rules have changed:

So I headed straight to the Capitol, but the pro-Trump event was petering out. One of the cops present told me that the MAGA march consisted of a group of about 100.

However, across the street, on the Wesley Bolin Memorial Plaza-side of 17th Avenue were the left-wingers, some of them masking their faces, some not. Many of them were armed with long guns. You know, just like the “patriot” groups.

How thoughtful – they even wore brown shirts.

While I was taking photographs of them, a woman approached me and told me that the group would not be granting interviews. She gave me a flier with a statement from something called the “Redneck Revolt,” which according to the flier aims to “put the RED back in redneck.”

Yep.  There’s video.

Mark my words:  when the left says they’re worried about violence, what they’re really worried about is someone beating them to it.

So far, Liberals have been able to engage in violence (and threats of violence such as the one in this photo) because Conservatives have not engaged. It’s like bullying an Amish kid.

He won’t be a kid forever and he might leave the faith. Then all bets are off.

As the Instapundit points out: Liberals will miss civility when it’s gone.

Um….didn’t liberals used to be for an assault weapons ban? I’m glad they’ve got their fingers off the triggers, but the hypocrisy of standing for a Hilliary Clinton/Barack Obama left with assault rifles is just amazing.

Has any prominent Minnesota Second Amendment activist tried walking down the street in Minneapolis with a rifle?

I’m curious how many of those were airsoft.

bike: ” I’m glad they’ve got their fingers off the triggers,……”

Has me wondering that given they’ve got their fingers very close to the trigger if that isn’t an implicit threat, or a threatening posture.

Really the whole thing was just theatre. But being a heavily armed group, wearing masks, and marching in close order down the boulevard might be an invitation for things to go awry.

Re: Airsoft; ironically, it it’s Airsoft rifles, they’re breaking the law because the orange tips are gone, but it wouldn’t be if it were the real thing. Go figure. We have liberals who, by their demand that a man stop filming, are against the 1st Amendment, but for the 2nd. Well, they’re at least for the 2nd for their own convenience. Maybe we need to interview them about demanding the end of women’s suffrage and those horrible 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments.

(worth noting is that Powerline demonstrated that the Obama administration did appear to fail to apply the 15th with regards to a case in Guam….while both Obama and Charles Rangel did things that would have clearly infringed the 13th.)

The left is not afraid of violence. Violence is their default when logic fails – which, if you’re a liberal, is a given.

Even with realizing how much trouble FoxNews Bill O’Baxter got in for commenting on Rep Maxine Waters hair, I gotta say – based on the picture it appears that group hasn’t fully embraced organic gmo-free veganism. Of course if they had, they wouldn’t have time to protest as they would be 24/7 looking for something they could eat…
If the s*** hit the fan, I think even I could outrun them.

It would be interesting to see side by side photos of us and them, engaging in open carry. There is something positively eerie about the coordination and the get-up. How many of the mask-wearing hooligans could actually legally own a firearm? Once you don a mask, you signal you are up to no good. I am sure PD conducted an investigation. Riiiiighhhhht.

Truth be told, I’m seen photos of a number of “Open Carry” advocates, presumably conservative, and they are not a very steely-eyed, fit looking bunch (of course, it didn’t fit the narrative to take photos of more capable-looking folks like that for the paper). The only thing they looked qualified to open carry would be a donut and a cup of coffee.

As for me, I’m already too big of a target without attracting further attention. If I was going to carry one of those scary things you can be darn sure it would be very, very discreetly.
