A Little More Equal
By Mitch Berg
When Governor Dayton, by way of trying to pitch the state on spending hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to upgrade Ziggy Wilf’s real estate for him, referred to the new US Bank Stadium as “The Peoples Stadium”, many of us couldn’t miss the inevitable reference connecting it to anything else labeled “Peoples”, like the “Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea” or “peoples Liberation have army”.
When I made the association, it was pretty much just a reflex based on the usage of the term.
Of course, I knew it would eventually turn into the real thing – a publicly paid amenity that would favor our ruling class.
Was I right?
When it comes to parallels between the USSR and the Minnesota DFL, aren’t I always?

The boys on KTLK were ridiculing these two miscreants this morning, too. Gotta love the hypocrites in the Minnesota DFL.

They won’t tell us who’s there but someone can take a picture and post it.
(Can’t be me because the Peoples Stadium is WAY WAY outside my budget. Most if it’s going to pay for my Peoples Health Care)

Connect job for the connected. Kind of like those human rights jobs for the city. Nice work (but not too much work) if you can get it.

Hey, if Mitch was on during morning drive time, I’d be listening to him. 😀

The stadium is just another example of the ruling class getting their perks at the expense of regular folk. That is why my pick for the Dayton Retirement Pool is in February 2018 after the Superbowl is held there. Governor Dayton wants to take his final stumbling victory lap in front of a national audience watching some boring football game at the stadium he built by fleecing MN taxpayers. These boxseat perks are just a payoff to the legislatures who allowed it.
By the way I think there are only a handful of us left in the Dayton Retirement Pool. Mmmmm looking forward to my free meal at the St. Paul Grill.
