Shot in the Dark

Coincidence?

Premise, accepted as a given:  Most government taxation and spending, especially in one-party cities like Minneapolis and Saint Paul (and, really, in de facto one-party states like Minnesota) exists primarily to take wealth from the producing class and give it…not so much to people who need it as much as to the political class.

With that accepted as a given (and I do accept it as a given, and so do you, if you think about it even a little), can it be even a tiny surprise that the same week brought us both this story…:

Legislators approved $35 million this year with $17.5 million ongoing to address racial and economic disparities, particularly in north Minneapolis.

…and this one?

    Nekima Levy-Pounds (our very own Berkshire Miss Piggy) has been kissed on the lips by ambition and sees herself someday soon replacing Al Sharpton on the national stage or even ascending to elected office. Meanwhile there is 17.5 million in the trough and she intends to get her share.
    My guess is St Thomas wasn’t game for giving her the Emeritus post she asked for while she pursued her greater ambition.

    How about a new chant? “No justice, no money!” All of that disturbing the peace should now be recognized for what it was– a successful extortion of the taxpayers, aided and abetted by the DFL. Ninnies.

    The racial justice department in the city of Minneapolis has something like 20 full time employees. What do they do all day? Pretty nice gig. Lots of pay for doing..what?

    Leviathon-Pounds already has the hair and the Goliath gut….after a couple years of high living she’s gonna have to dip into the equity coffers to get her stomach stapled, then she will fit into Sharpton’s shoes.

    You wish they were doing nothing. They are developing policies and legislative proposals that will use the power of government to shift rights and resources from one arbitrarily identified group to another arbitrarily identified group. In other words, they are your bosses, and you will justify your behavior to them.
