in this age of declining subscriptions near-death baby boomers are their most loyal demographic. Naturally they want to provide an article (one probably written 30 years ago for the WWII generation) that reassures their vanishing demographic all is well.
The Strib is like Hollywood, hasn’t had a new or original idea in decades so it contents itself with repackaging ideas that seemed to work when their parents were running the shop.
