It’s Satire…

…but only barely.

As of the February before the election, the North Dakota Democrat/Non-Partisan League (the ND name for “Democrat”) Party has no announced candidates for Governor or State Representative.   The party very nearly could hold its convention at “Kroll’s”, a popular Minot diner.

How wonderful must it be, to live in a place where the peekaboo-socialists are virtually extinct?

It’s almost too wonderful to dream about.

  1. Excellent satire. Well, until they got to the part about liberals being bad tippers. That part, is at least 98% true.

  2. “…the part about liberals being bad tippers.”
Has anyone else noticed the new movement among the Left to Euro-style our restaurants to eliminate tipping? It’s Win-Win for the restaurant owner: Gets to pad his pocket with higher prices and gets to pay his employees more using other peoples money. Probably also motivated by more Lefty’s having money (that $1.2 Billion surplus has plenty of beak wetting opportunities built in I’m sure) and as BH429 notes, they ARE lousy tippers.

Money quote: “Menu prices will rise at least 20 percent to cover costs, and customer checks will no longer include a line for adding gratuity.” Love that ‘at least 20 percent’.
Tips are supposed “To Insure Prompt Service” from people who have to make an effort – smile, know the menu, upsell you an appetizer or dessert, get you what you ordered, etc. Now the over educated nose ringed and neck tatted dumbbell who does nothing more than take my money then turn around and fill my coffee cup after I’ve waited in line for 10 minutes expects 20% to hit the income/FICA tax free tip jar.

  3. Expect more biological, or is scatological? matter in your food. More incentive to stay home and cook and avoid the higher costs and ever-diminishing service. Should do wonders for already fickle restaurant industry.
